Press Release: Stunning win for Fisher and Titleist
FISHER AND TITLEIST RECORD STUNNING EUROPEAN OPEN VICTORY
Ross Fisher trusts Titleist from tee-to-green to register majestic seven shot victory at The London Club

Titleist ambassador Ross Fisher earned his second career European Tour title, when he overcame adverse weather conditions and a world class field to blow the competition away at The London Club. The 27-year old posted a 20-under par total of 268 to win by seven shots to capture The European Open in stunning fashion and follow up his maiden victory at the Dutch Open last season.
The young Englishman, who began the tournament with a course record 63, secured the victory by holing a bunker shot on the final hole on Sunday to complete four consecutive rounds in the 60’s. Fisher has now moved from 21st to 11th in the Ryder Cup standings and has Valhalla firmly in his sights.
Fisher trusted Titleist equipment from tee-to-green including Pro V1x, 905R driver, 695MB irons, Vokey Design pitching and wedges, Vokey Spin Milled lob wedge and Scotty Cameron Studio Select Newport 2 putter. Titleist iron players have now won the last three European tour events starting with Martin Kaymer’s win in Germany three weeks ago.
Fisher’s win was the 16th for Titleist golf ball loyalists on the 2008 PGA European Tour, more than three times the nearest competitor with five. Titleist was the most played golf ball at The European Open with 101 players, compared to 22 for the nearest competitor and at the top of the leaderboard, nine players in the top 10 and ties played either Pro V1 or Pro V1x including full line Titleist players Soren Hansen, Robert Karlsson and Rory McIlroy.
Elsewhere, Titleist ball players recorded a 1-2-3 in the LPGA Tour’s NW Arkansas Championships as Seon Hwa Lee (Pro V1) birdied the final hole for a one-stroke victory over Jane Park (Pro V1x) and Meena Lee (Pro V1). A further victory on the Canadian Tour for Josh Geary boosted Titleist’s worldwide win tally to 89, compared to 23 for the nearest competitor.
The impressive runaway victory for Titleist player Ross Fisher and the constant flow of victories for Pro V1 players around the world, prove once again that the game’s elite continue to opt for the matchless performance of Titleist.
