Press Release: Chez Reavie wins with Titleist
REAVIE RECORDS FIRST TOUR TITLE VICTORY WITH TITLEIST
Chez Reavie trusts Titleist from tee-to-green to claim his first PGA Tour title at the Canadian Open
Titleist ambassador Chez Reavie captured the Canadian Open in wire-to-wire fashion for his first PGA Tour title, closing with a 1-under 70 for a three-stroke victory. He finished at 17-under 267, earning spots over the next two weeks in the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational and PGA Championship. The 26 year-old was on the mark all week, hitting 44 of 56 fairways in regulation and 54 of 72 greens.
Reavie trusted Titleist equipment including Pro V1x, 909D2 prototype driver, 906F2 fairway metal, ZM forged irons, Vokey Design Spin Milled wedges and Scotty Cameron 303 GSS putter. He finished the tournament three shots ahead of fellow Titleist brand ambassador Billy Mayfair (Pro V1x, 907D1 driver, 804OS irons, Vokey Design sand wedge, Spin Milled lob wedge).
Titleist was the most played golf ball at The RBC Canadian Open with 107 players, compared to 18 for the nearest competitor. Furthermore, Titleist golf ball players secured six of the top seven positions on the leaderboard. Titleist was also the top choice in the iron (44), wedge (166) and putter (60) categories.
On the European Tour, Mikael Lundberg topped the Inteco Russian Open leaderboard that included Pro V1x players occupying the top five places. It marked the second Russian Open title for Lundberg, who birdied two of the last three holes for a final round 4-under 68 and a two-stroke margin of victory.
Titleist was the most played golf ball at The Inteco Russian Open with 117 players, more than ten times the nearest competitor with 11.
Elsewhere, Bruce Vaughan (Pro V1x) holed a 20-foot putt to beat John Cook in a play-off and win the Senior British Open; his first tournament victory on either the Champions Tour or PGA Tour. Helen Alfredsson (Pro V1) won the Evian Masters for her first LPGA Tour title in five years, while Bill Lunde (Pro V1x) earned his first career Nationwide Tour victory at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Invitational. On the Japanese tour, Jeev Milkha Singh (Pro V1x) won the Nagashima Shigeo Invitational Sega Sammy Cup.
Impressive victory for Titleist player Reavie and the constant flow of victories for Pro V1 players, provides further proof that the world’s best opt for the matchless performance of Titleist.
