Press Release: Titleist at the PGA Assistants' Championship

TITLEIST - THE #1 BALL FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF PGA PROFESSIONALS

Titleist tops the ball count during the PGA Assistants’ Championship at the London Club

Titleist eclipsed the competition at the PGA Assistants’ Championship held recently at the London Club as an overwhelming majority of the field teed-up with the ProV1 or ProV1x golf ball. Titleist is consistently the #1 ball across the World’s tours, but the high ball count at the London Club shows it is also the preferred choice for those who have recently joined the professional ranks.

Of the 119 PGA Assistants who took part, 109 put their trust in the unrivalled performance of Titleist. ProV1 or ProV1x were played by 92% of the field, which was over 30 times more than the nearest rival with just 3%. Every player who finished in the top 10 and ties played with a Titleist ball, confirming the brand as the stand-out choice by the top performers week in, week out.

The world-wide win count for the legendary Pro V1 family has grown on a weekly basis throughout 2008 and now stands at 113, including Padraig Harrington’s double Major victory, compared to its nearest competitor with 25. Titleist has continued to prove itself as the favoured choice across the globe and has been the most played golf ball in all events on the European and US PGA Tours in 2008, including all four ‘Majors’. In addition to being the #1 ball at the PGA Assistants’ Championship it was also the most played ball at the UK Club Professionals’ and British Amateur Championships, further establishing Titleist as the #1 ball across all levels of the game.

Titleist: The #1 Ball in Golf.
