Titleist is the tee-to-green favourite at US Amateur Championship and the British Boys Amateur Championship as it finishes top of all the major equipment categories

Titleist was the firm favourite at the US Amateur Championship as it came out on top in ALL of the major equipment categories; replicating the performance at the British Boys Amateur Championship. Titleist eclipsed all others in the ball count to claim the #1 position in both of these prestigious events for the elite of amateur golf, in addition to leading the way in the driver, fairway metal, utility club, irons, wedges and putter categories. The famed Pinehurst No.2 course in North Carolina played host to the US Amateur Championship where 255 golfers, equating to 81% of the field, put their trust in Titleist golf balls; over 9 times greater than the nearest competitor. It was an even better performance at Little Aston, Birmingham where a staggering 244 competitors opted for the superior performance of Titleist balls in the British Boys Amateur Championship. This accounted for an incredible 95.3% of the total field, over 19 times greater than the other brands combined usage.

The Titleist Pro Titanium drivers were clear front runners in both tournaments with 44% and 37.5% of the field in the US Amateur Championship and British Boys Amateur Championship respectively. It was a similar story in the fairway metal and utility club categories as Titleist accounted for 36% and 26% of the field at Pinehurst, and 37.5% and 37.9% at Little Aston. Furthermore, Titleist was the most played iron in each field with 45% of the US Amateurs and 37.2% at the Boys Amateur Championship choosing the unmatched precision, playability and workability of Titleist, including the new Z Forged and AP series irons.

Titleist Vokey Design wedges, designed by master craftsman Bob Vokey, were also the favourite with the competitors in both tournaments. Titleist wedges led the aggregate wedge count (PW, SW and LW) with an impressive 55% and 48% of wedges in play in the US Amateur Championship and British Boys Amateur Championship respectively. Similarly, Scotty Cameron by Titleist putters also took the #1 spot with 48% of golfers at Pinehurst and 25.6% of the field at Little Aston.
