Press Release: Palmer continues Titleist's winning start to 2010 in Hawaii

PALMER CONTINUES TITLEIST’S WINNING START TO 2010 IN HAWAII

Ryan Palmer trusts the precision and feel of the Titleist Pro V1 to claim victory at the Sony Open

Demonstrating unwavering focus and determination throughout the back nine, Ryan Palmer trusted the Pro V1 golf ball to capture his third career PGA Tour victory with a birdie on the final hole at the Sony Open. Palmer fired four consecutive rounds in the 60's, including a final round 4-under par 66 to finish at 15-under, 265.  Palmer’s victory made it back-to-back wins for the #1 ball in golf in Hawaii, and sees him join new Titleist Brand Ambassador Geoff Ogilvy in the 2010 PGA Tour winners' circle. Ogilvy successfully defended his SBS Championship in Maui last week playing the Pro V1 ball and a full complement of Titleist golf clubs.

Titleist Brand Ambassador Steve Stricker continued his consistent start to the 2010 season, following up a top ten finish at the SBS Championship with a third place finish at the Sony Open. Stricker trusted a plethora of Titleist equipment including the Pro V1 ball, 909D3 driver, 906F2 3-wood, 909H hybrid, 755 irons and Vokey Design Spin Milled sand and lob wedges. Fellow Titleist Brand Ambassador Davis Love III trusted Titleist throughout his bag to finish in a three-way tie for fifth place on 11-Under. In addition to the Pro V1x ball, Love’s bag also included the 909D3 driver, F3 05 3-wood, 909H hybrid and Vokey Design sand wedge Spin Milled lob wedge.

As well as being the choice of the top finishers in Hawaii, the legendary Titleist Pro V1 was also the choice of the majority of the field at the Sony Open with 96 players, more than seven times the nearest competitor with 13. Titleist was also the most played iron set, wedge and putter among the field in Hawaii.

Wins for Ryan Palmer and Geoff Ogilvy mark an impressive start to the 2010 PGA Tour season for the iconic Pro V1 franchise and offers further proof that the world’s leading players continue to choose the matchless performance and feel of the #1 ball in golf.
