Press Release: Karlsson and Crane Trust Titleist to Enter the Winners Circle Once Again

KARLSSON AND CRANE TRUST TITLEIST TO ENTER THE WINNERS CIRCLE ONCE AGAIN

Titleist Brand Ambassador and Ball Loyalist headline winning weekend for Titleist - Golf’s Symbol of Excellence

Titleist Brand Ambassador Robert Karlsson and Titleist ball loyalist Ben Crane trusted the performance and feel of Titleist balls and clubs to claim their first victories of the 2010 European Tour and PGA Tour seasons respectively. Karlsson closed with two birdies to post a final round 7-under par 65 to claim the Commercialbank Qatar Masters by three shots on 15-under par 273, while Ben Crane finished on 13-under par 275 to claim a one shot victory in the Famers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines. Crane’s victory marks the fourth PGA Tour win in succession for the legendary Pro V1 franchise with every tournament winner so far in 2010 trusting the feel and control of the #1 ball in golf.

In Qatar, Karlsson trusted Titleist throughout the bag for his tenth career European Tour victory. This included the Pro V1x ball, 909D2 driver, 909F3 fairway metals, the new Titleist MB irons, Vokey Design Spin Milled pitching, sand and lob wedges and Scotty Cameron GSS putter. The win marks Karlsson’s first since the 2008 Dunhill Links Championship having missed the majority of the 2009 season with an eye injury. The 2008 European #1 edged out fellow Titleist Brand Ambassador Brett Rumford and 2009 Race to Dubai winner, Pro V1x loyalist Lee Westwood, both of whom finished tied for third.

On the PGA Tour Ben Crane also trusted Titleist to finish one shot ahead of two Titleist Brand Ambassadors, Michael Sim and Marc Leishman, and one other player as three of the top four put their trust in Titleist in San Diego. Also at the top of the leaderboard was Titleist Brand Ambassador Rickie Fowler, who used Titleist throughout his bag to finish tied fifth along with Pro V1 loyalists Michael Allen and Alex Prugh, while full line Titleist players, Nick Watney and Ryuji Imada finished a further shot back in a share of ninth place.

Elsewhere, Titleist Ambassador Robert Gates trusted Titleist from tee to green to claim his first win on the Nationwide Tour in the Michael Hill New Zealand Open. Gates finished on 14-under par 274 to edge out fellow full line Titleist player Michael Dodt by one shot.

The fourth consecutive victory for the legendary Pro V1 on the PGA Tour in 2010, the emphatic return to the winners circle for Robert Karlsson and Ben Crane, plus a whole host of Titleist Ambassadors at the top of leaderboards around the world, shows that the world’s best players continue to choose the matchless performance of Titleist.
