Press Release: Manassero Puts Trust in Titleist as Italian Moves into Pro Ranks

MANASSERO PUTS TRUST IN TITLEIST AS ITALIAN MOVES INTO PRO RANKS

Matteo Manassero signs with Titleist marking his professional debut at his home event, The Italian Open

Titleist, Golf’s Symbol of Excellence has announced Matteo Manassero as the latest star to sign a multi-year equipment deal with Titleist. The 17 year old Italian has not only taken the amateur world by storm by claiming the World number 1 spot, but has also established himself as a force to contend with in the professional ranks. Manassero proved his pedigree by winning the Silver Medal at the 2009 Open Championship at Turnberry and more recently The Silver Cup at this year’s US Masters; a feat made all the more impressive as Manassero was the youngest competitor in the history of the event. Manassero looks set to have an immediate impact on the main stage and will no doubt forge a great professional career alongside fellow Titleist ambassador’s Rory McIlroy and Rickie Fowler as part a new wave of star golfers.

Manassero’s glittering amateur career is amongst the very best. In claiming the 2009 British Amateur Championship Manassero became the youngest ever winner of the 125 year old Championship at just 16 years of age. Amidst a host of other amateur successes Manassero also represented Continental Europe in the 2008 Jacques Léglise Trophy. Manassero has trusted Titleist throughout his elite amateur career and will continue to place his faith in Golf’s Symbol of excellence as he moves into the professional ranks.

Manassero currently plays the Titleist Pro V1x golf ball, Titleist 909D3 Driver, Titleist 909F2 fairway metal, Titleist 909H hybrid, Titleist AP2 irons, Design pitching, sand and lob wedges and a Scotty Cameron Tour Newport Select.
