As the best amateurs from across the U.S. and around the world came together to compete for the coveted national U.S. championship, Titleist was the overwhelming golf ball of choice, with the majority of the field putting their trust in the #1 ball in golf. Titleist also topped every major club category, as the elite amateurs followed the example set by the best players across worldwide professional tours in choosing Titleist.

The feel and control of the legendary Pro V1 franchise was the choice of 242 players, or 78% of the field of 312, which was more than 8 times the nearest competitor with 28 players. These counts continue the momentum Titleist golf balls have enjoyed across worldwide professional tours, at the recent Glenmuir PGA Professional Championship and at every level of competitive amateur golf, as the #1 golf ball of choice.

The strength of Titleist’s product range was further underlined with Titleist products being the tee-to-green favourite across every major club category. From drivers, fairway metals and hybrids, to iron sets, wedges and putters, no less than 33 percent of the field in any major equipment category placed their trust in the superior performance and consistency of Titleist equipment at one of the most prestigious individual events in amateur golf.
 
The U.S. Amateur marks the latest in several high profile amateur championships this year where the trust and confidence in Titleist golf equipment has never been stronger. The superior feel and playability of the Pro V1 and Pro V1x topped the golf ball counts at this years’ U.S. Women’s Amateur, U.S. Junior and Girls’ Junior Amateur Championship, as well as the U.S. Men’s and Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship.
