Press Release: Poulter trusts Pro V1x for title #10

POULTER TRUSTS PRO V1x FOR TITLE #10

Titleist golf ball loyalist Ian Poulter trusts the #1 Ball in Golf for victory in the UBS Hong Kong Open

Titleist golf ball loyalists were at the top of leaderboards around the world again this weekend, led by Pro V1x loyalist Ian Poulter who claimed the Hong Kong Open for his tenth career European Tour victory and second of the 2010 season following his win at the WGC – Accenture Matchplay Championship in February. Poulter put his trust in the feel and control of the legendary Pro V1x, as the flamboyant Englishman shot a final-round 67 to hold off the charge of runner-up and fellow Pro V1 loyalist and Titleist ambassador Matteo Manassero. The Italian teenager closed with a stunning round of 62 to continue his rich vein of form after winning the Castello Masters last month.

Poulter’s victory in Hong Kong saw him finish atop of a Titleist golf ball dominated leaderboard, with seven Pro V1 or Pro V1x players in the top 9. Joining Poulter and Manassero in the top-7 were 4th placed Anthony Kang (Pro V1x) and Northern Irishman Rory McIlroy in 6th (Pro V1x). Titleist was the golf ball of choice at the UBS Hong Kong Open with 89 players putting their trust in the #1 ball in golf, more than four times that of its nearest competitor.

Elsewhere, on the Australasian Tour Steven Bowditch won the Cellarbrations NSW PGA Championship with a prototype Pro V1x, finishing 2 strokes clear of fellow Titleist player Gareth Paddison (Pro V1). Titleist was the overwhelming choice at the tournament, with 115 players in the 142 field putting their trust in a Titleist golf ball. Poulter and Bowditch’s victories have taken the Titleist worldwide win count to 141, almost six times more than the nearest competitor with 24.

A tenth career European Tour victory for Ian Poulter, coupled with further wins around the world for Titleist golf ball loyalists, continues to prove that the world’s best players opt for the matchless performance of Titleist for their success.
