BRILLIANT BADDELEY HEADLINES FOUR WIN WEEKEND FOR TITLEIST
Baddeley, Chowrasia, Tseng and Langer take Titleist to the top of leaderboards as they sweep worldwide professional tours trusting the #1 ball in golf
The success of the legendary Titleist Pro V1 franchise on the 2011 PGA Tour continued this weekend as Pro V1x loyalist Aaron Baddeley fired four consecutive rounds in the 60’s en route to claiming his third career PGA Tour title at the Northern Trust Open. Baddeley fired a final round 2-under par 69 for a 12-under par total, and continues the emphatic start to the 2011 season for Titleist golf ball loyalists, which has seen six of the first seven events on the PGA Tour won by a player teeing up a Pro V1 or Pro V1x. Baddeley was joined in the winners’ circle by Titleist golf ball loyalists around the world this weekend, as SSP Chowrasia (Pro V1x), Yani Tseng (Pro V1x) and Bernhard Langer (Pro V1) also trusted the feel and control of the #1 ball in golf to finish at the top of leaderboards.
Baddeley’s two stroke victory in California was his first win since the 2007 Phoenix Open and saw him finish ahead of a top-5 littered with Titleist golf ball loyalists. Titleist brand ambassador Kevin Na trusted the stability of the Titleist 910D3 driver and the Pro V1x golf ball to finish third, one shot ahead of fellow Titleist ambassador Jimmy Walker (New Pro V1) and Pro V1 loyalist Ryan Moore, who finished in a tie for fourth with one other. Titleist was also the choice of the majority of the field at the Northern Trust Open, with 97 players playing the Pro V1 or Pro V1x, compared to 14 for the nearest competitor. Titleist also topped the counts for hybrids, iron sets, sand, lob and approach wedges and putters respectively.
On the European Tour, Pro V1 loyalist SSP Chowrasia emerged victorious ahead of an all Titleist golf ball top-3 in India to claim his second European Tour title at the Avantha Masters. Chowrasia fired a final round 5-under par 67 to finish one shot ahead of Robert Coles (New Pro V1x) who had held the lead going into the last 18 holes. Completing the all Titleist top-3 was Pro V1x loyalist Grégory Havret, finishing alone in third, one shot further back on 13-under par. Titleist was also the overwhelming golf ball of choice in India, with 87 players putting their trust in the precision of Titleist, more than five times the nearest competitor with 17.
Elsewhere, on the LPGA Tour, Pro V1x loyalist and World #1 Yani Tseng continued her winning start to 2011 adding the Honda LPGA Classic to the Taifong Ladies Open, Australian Women’s Open and ANZ Ladies Masters that she has already won this season. Tseng fired a final round 6-under par to finish on 15-under par and seal her fourth victory of the season by 5 strokes. On the Champions Tour, Bernhard Langer trusted the feel and control of the Pro V1 to claim the ACE Group Classic and his 14th Champions Tour title. Titleist golf ball loyalists dominated the top of the leaderboard on the Champions Tour, as 8 of the 11 players who were among the top-10 and ties put their trust in the #1 ball in golf.
A sixth 2011 season PGA Tour victory for the legendary Pro V1 in the hands of Aaron Baddeley, coupled with wins around the world for Titleist golf ball loyalists, continues to prove that the world’s best players opt for the matchless performance of Titleist for their success.
