After the SA Open Championship, there is just one more European Tour event before the Race To Dubai concludes at the Dubai World Championship. For many players, this could be their last chance to avoid Q-School, so lots of pressure this week!
Measuring 7,761 yards, the par 72 Serengeti Golf Club will give a few players the chance to open their shoulders and throw caution to the wind. Despite its undulations (greens and fiarways), it is fairly open with water featuring on eight of the holes.
Titleist was again the overwhelming golf ball of choice at the event with 109 players, compared to 23 for the nearest competitor.
At the time of writing, staffer Jbe Kruger has a share of the lead after the first round at -7. He is being closely followed by fellow Titleist staffers and compatriots Shaun Norris (-5) and George Coetzee (-4). Good luck to all those players looking to secure their cards this week!
