We're all in position, so let the Open begin!

There had been lots of talk about the impact that the high rough and the weather could have on the outcome of the 141st Open Championship at Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club in Lancashire.

And it seemed that this was set to be the case as the week got under way - wind and torrential rain on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday must have set the players to wondering how they were going to navigate their way through 18 holes, let alone 72!

But on Wednesday, the clouds cleared and, for the first time during the week, blue skies were spied. It also gave the greenkeepers the chance to get rid of some of the water that had started to lie in bunkers and on the fairways.

It was a busy week on the Titleist Tour Truck, as you will have seen from previous Team Titleist posts this week - not least when Steve Stricker's 909D3 driver developed a crack in it's face (click here to read more)! Getting straight to work, the tour team gave Steve some options in the prototype Titleist 913 driver to try and he was very happy with the results.

Hopefully, we'll be bringing you some more inside the ropes images from the range tomorrow.
