The European Tour and Titleist Tour Support Vehicle (TTSV) travelled to the French capital to the 2018 Ryder Cup host Le Golf National.
The course opened in 1990, designed by Hubert Chesneau, and ever since its conception the course has become one of the crown jewels for French golf. Water is very much a feature especially over the closing holes which are something of an amphitheatre with water coming in to play on 13, 15, 16 and 18, as well as 1 and 2. The lakes are full of some of the largest carp in this part of the world that feed almost exclusively on the grass clippings from the golf course.
Back to the golf and more importantly our Titleist ambassadors! It was again another busy week for all our team on the TTSV, whether it was re-gripping, re-shafting or slight tweaks to those important club heads.
Two 'locals' hoping to put on a performance this week in front of their home crowd are Romain Wattel and Victor Dubuisson. Romain, 22 and Victor, 23 are both looking for their first victory on the European Tour. Both are settling down now on Tour and we all think at Titleist that it really is now a case that their first victory and breakthrough is weeks away, (if not this week of course). Two top talents!
Good luck to all Titleist ambassadors, as the countdown to the Open now is only a few weeks away!
