The first stop of the 2014 Race to Dubai brings us to the City of Ekurhuleni and the Glendower Golf Club for the South African Open Championship. First held in 1903, it is one of the world's oldest tournaments and since 1997 has been co sanctioned by the Sunshine and European Tours.

The 6,899 yard, Par 72 golf course was the location for Pro V1x loyalist Henrik Stenson's first European Tour victory for five years last year and the start to a dream 12 months for the Swede culminating in his R2D win last week.

Brand Ambassadors in the field this week hoping to emulate Henrik include local hope Jbe Kruger and Dane Morten Madsen who are both well placed near the top after two rounds. Also in the field is recent Q-School graduate and Titleist ball player Marco Crespi who leads the Titleist charge after following up a brilliant opening round of 65 with a 67 today. Alongside them is Titleist Pro V1x loyalist Tom Lewis who posted a second consecutive 68 today to move up the leaderboard and into contention at the weekend.

Keep your eyes peeled to Team Titleist for updates on how all our players get on this week, in the hope of making a strong start to the new season and getting some points on the board for both the Race to Dubai and the Ryder Cup. Finally, best of luck to all Brand Ambassadors and golf ball loyalists and here's to another great year!
