With the launch of new Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls, we wanted to open up the forum to you to ask any questions that you may have about the new models.

Are you wondering which one you should be playing?
Curious in what the differences are vs the previous models?

Additionally, if you haven't already done so, please be sure to check out the Pro V1 and Pro V1x product pages here

We look forward to hearing from you!

Here's a simple question about the new balls...
Is the difference significant enough that one should review which ball they currently put in play ? By that, I mean that I currently default to the ProV1x during the summer. Should I be reviewing my choice of balls between the V and the 1x ?

    Hi Darius,
Many people have traditionally chose Pro V1x because it was longer for most golfers. Now, Pro V1 is just as long as Pro V1x. Pro V1 will have a slightly softer feel but will also have a lower more penetrating ball flight vs Pro V1x which has a higher ball flight. You can reference the chart above for additional comparisons.

From there, it is somewhat up to you to be the judge as to whether or not you would consider switching. We have already seen a decent number of tour players who traditionally played Pro V1x, switch to Pro V1. By no means does that mean 'all' or 'most' of them will, but it's an interesting observation.

I'd suggest trying both when Mother Nature permits and seeing which you prefer.

    Cheers,

I've been playing the pro v1 for the softer feel but I'm intrigued by the higher ball flight the new X is proclaiming. My drives are lower than I would like and maybe the X would help with that a bit. I'm going to have to give them a try.
