  1. Hey guys,

Went to my golf shop today and was curious about my specs. My average swing speed was 105mph (max was 110 but i inly 3/4 swing for some reason). My spin was crazy at about 5000+ rpm consistenly and was probly losing yards cause of. I was consistently hittin 220+ but only maxed 260 thru 20 swings. My question is, i bought the new D2 driver today as my instructor suggested and i wanted a good opinion on if this is the right driver for my swing speed and spin? Thanks

I have a 90mph swing speed and was fitted for a 915 D3 so that makes sense. Enjoyable!

I don't remember my spin but I ended up with a 913 d2 with a 110 avg swing, my carry averaged 260 on trackman about a year and a half ago.  I took some lessons since then and I know my speed is a bit slower but I'm better at hitting the center of the driver so my carry has increased since then

Were you fitted with the same ball you play? I bought 30 Pro V1 overruns and took them to the outdoor fitting, it was only 100 bucks out of pocket since the fitting was free

Plenty of PGA tour pros with 105+ swing speeds play the D2. You can always fit it with a shaft that will help promote the launch and spin numbers you're looking for. The D3 may provide slightly less spin, but I would think the shaft pairing would likely do more (which you would find in a fitting). You'll get more forgiveness with the D2 as well, more workability with the D3.

While club and shaft can make a difference, I'd also pay attention to your attack angle.  I am guessing with that spin, you may be hitting the ball on the downswing.  I recently adjusted my driver swing to promote a more upward angle of attack and was able to decrease the spin significantly.
