  1. Ok guys, I have been playing my 714 ap1 for a little over a year. I am thinking about going to the 716 ap1. Is there going to be a real difference that will justify me spending the money on new clubs? I am reading different things on the net. I am hoping that someone here has had both and can shed some light on this. Thank you.

  2. I haven't played with the 714's, but I'm absolutely in love with my 716's. Who needs to justify money spent on golf clubs anyways :) Life's too short.

I have the 714 AP1 and "needed" a new set. The 716's are even stronger lofts which messed up my wedges (54 and 58 - I have several but those I like using). I went to the 716 AP2 instead (W stops at 50 degrees) I don't really need extra distance from strong lofts but if you do its a good way to go. A golfing buddy I play with went from 714 to 716 AP1's and like them a lot - shinny chrome, they look better than the 714's did. I prefer the AP2's over the AP1's but that is just personal choice.
  4. I went ahead and went with the 716Ap1. I have only had them for two weeks and so far, so good. Thank you guys for the input.
