Sad to say, but there are people out there that will help themselves to anything they want. I recently received one of the great TT bag tags that the great folks at Titleist sent me, and last weekend, I went into get a snack after the 9th hole, and when I came out, the bag tag was gone. I would normally be inclined to think it fell off, but it was attached to the Titleist zipper pull on the compartment where I keep my wallet. I had just opened it to get my wallet when I went in, and noticed both the bag tag and zipper pull were gone when I came out to put my wallet back in. Someone yanked them off while I was inside. At least they didn't steal any of my Titleist clubs or my brand new Scotty Cameron putter! Keep a close eye on your gear.

That happened to me when I first received the TT Bag Tag and Mitch and the gang from Team Titleist Canada sent me out another one promptly.... I never expected that and I am forever grateful.

Sorry to hear about your loss of the tag, that really stinks. I've been lucky, sort of. I've never had my TT or FJA bag tag stolen, however, someone did walk off with my Scotty Cameron putter cover during one of my home courses parent/child events. It wasn't even a custom one. Thankfully, I ordered a new one and all is well again.
  5. Bummer.....sorry to hear the news! I have never had a problem however I rarely let my bag out of my sight...some of these things can be priceless!

Sorry for the loss! Hope you somehow get another... Hope the thief triple bogeys every hole!
  8. I put a little black electrical tape around the clip to keep people from helping themselves

Someone stole my Scotty headcover as well. Left the putter ... but apparently really needed the headcover for their own club.
  10. Sorry man, that's terrible! As you said, it could've been worse. Hope you get a replacement one day.

That is sad to hear. On the other hand, I was playing with a Freshman HS player and he was decked out with Titleist all through his bag, including a Titleist bag. I was speaking with her during the round, and he was purchasing clubs slightly used as he was still growing.
During our round, only a few holes, I got to know this young gentleman and after we were finished our round, I handed him my TT bag tag, as I thought quite honestly it would mean more to him, than an older guy like me....

Need to spread the goodness while you can and I thought this was a good opportunity....I hope it brings him some luck and he had a great HS season.

    Wow, that's bad !
It's normally rule of thumb in golf that you can trust people at golf clubs either at your home course or whilst playing away, unfortunately their is the odd person that puts a sour taste in people's mouths and will take anything that's not screwed down.
Hopefully they will meet karma !
I hope you're lucky and get a replacement.....
  13. Sorry to hear about you misfortune Greg. Mine just arrived this week...but in watching these posts, I suspect that it may be a matter of time before someone concludes that they should appropriate it from my possession to theirs. Unfortunately, a sign of the times ..... frankly, I hope I will be able to take some solace in having received one in the first place. Until that time should come, I will proudly display the tag as a badge of being part of the great TT community...of which you are too.

That sucks, sorry. Nothing angers me more than someone taking what I have earned either thru paying or participation, scumbags.

I had a guy lift my Scotty out of my bag last year, luckily I was just inside and could see my bag. I came out and asked, "what do you think you are doing?" Oh, I was just looking at it, bulls***t. I don't know what gives people the right to touch other people's property.

I hate the idea someone would just take your things. It kind of ruins your day and stays on your mind. What person would do that? It would really bother me. Sorry it happened to you. Yeah it sucks!

The same thing happened to me last summer. I had the older version and had written my name on the reverse side with magic marker.
The maintenance crew at the course found it a couple weeks later. Apparently someone realized that my name was on it and tossed it into some bushes in the parking lot.

I doubt the thief plays Titleist anyway, what a shame.

I use zip ties on stuff hanging on my bag, this way a thief needs a knife or a scissor to get it. It's a lousy way but it's the way of the world today. If you have something nice, somebody's looking to clip it.
