Gary Woodland Trusts His Pro V1 in Comeback Victory at the Texas Children's Houston Open

PGA TOUR | Texas Children's Houston Open

Locked in with his Pro V1 golf ball from start to finish, Gary Woodland gained over nine shots from tee to green on the field (+9.728) this week in Houston on his way to a decisive five-shot victory.

Woodland, who also claimed his 2019 U.S. Open victory playing a Pro V1 model, hit 81% greens in regulation (2nd) while gaining over 5.5 strokes on approach (+5.596).
Woodland posted rounds of 64-63-65-67 while leading the field with 26 birdies. He only made five bogeys the entire week.
Woodland’s victory marks the fourth win in four weeks for Titleist golf ball players, following wins by Matt Fitzpatrick (Pro V1x, Valspar Championship), Cameron Young (Pro V1x prototype, THE PLAYERS) and Ricky Castillo (Pro V1, Puerto Rico Open).
In total, 73% of the field at the Houston Open (99 players) teed up a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball, nine times the nearest competitor (11 players).

“I love it. One for spin characteristics, especially with me with the driver. I'm a high-spin guy, a high-speed guy. So the Pro V1 brings that spin down a little bit for me. I’m able to spin it around the green so, for me, having the versatility with perfect spin with the driver and I still get the speed to control spin around the greens. It's been a perfect combination for me.”
“I grew up playing in a lot of wind, so I like to flight the golf ball down, so I feel like I’m in way more control of the golf ball with lower spin for me. NEW GTS DRIVERS LAUNCH ON TOUR; MORE THAN 50 PLAYERS PUT NEW MODELS IMMEDIATELY IN PLAY ACROSS PGA TOUR, LPGA & KFT

In their first chance to game the NEW Titleist GTS drivers in competition, more than 50 players across events on the PGA TOUR, LPGA and Korn Ferry Tour chose to put NEW GTS2, GTS3 and GTS4 models immediately in play on Thursday.
On the PGA TOUR, 24 players put a NEW GTS driver right in the bag at the Texas Children’s Houston Open.
- Eighteen players used a GTS2 model (tied as the field’s most played driver model) while six played GTS3.
- That list featured four of Houston’s top 10 players in Strokes Gained: Off-the-Tee, including:
  - Johnny Keefer, who made the immediate move to his GTS2 10.0° driver and gained over three shots off the tee (+3.669, 5th) on his way to a T3 finish, the best of his young career.
  - Sudarshan Yellamaraju, who put his GTS2 9.0° in the bag before finishing T6, his second-straight top-10 finish.
  - Yellamaraju gained over two-and-a-half shots on the field off the tee (+2.780, 10th).
  - The sixth-ranked player in SG: Off-the-Tee (+3.535) moved straight from his GT2 8.0° into a GTS2 8.0, while No. 9 in SG: Off-the-Tee (+3.028) switched to a GTS2 8.0° driver from a competitor’s model.
  - In addition, the T39-finisher, who posted a final-round 66, made his first cut of the season after switching to a GTS2 10.0° model from a competitor’s driver.
- Overall, 51 players gamed a Titleist driver (38%) for the week at Memorial Park, as Titleist continues to be the most played driver on the PGA TOUR.
At the Korn Ferry Tour’s Club Car Championship, 20 players put GTS in play including the eventual champion Davis Lamb (GTS2 9.0°).
- Lamb was one of 11 players who teed up a GTS2 model. Seven played GTS3 and two GTS4.
At the LPGA’s Ford Championship, nine players stepped to the first tee Thursday with GTS drivers in the bag.
- Six players played GTS3 models, two gamed GTS2 and one played GTS4.
- Frida Kinhult, who put GTS3 9.0° right in the bag, earned her season-best finish (T6), hitting 84% fairways.

LPGA | Ford Championship

Hyo Joo Kim (Pro V1x) made it wins in back-to-back weeks and successfully defended her title at the Ford Championship, posting 28 under to win by two in Arizona.

Kim’s week was highlighted by a pair of 11-under 61’s on Thursday and Saturday, featuring a combined 18 birdies and two eagles.
The win, her ninth career LPGA victory, sees Kim rise to No. 1 in the Race to CME Globe rankings.
She has recorded finishes of solo 3rd, T21, 1st and 1st in four starts this season with a 67.625 scoring average.

DP WORLD TOUR | Hero Indian Open

Alex Fitzpatrick (Pro V1x) birdied five of seven holes during his Sunday back nine to break through for his first career DP World Tour title with a two-shot win in Gurugram.

The 27-year-old Englishman shot rounds 70-68-72-69 while converting a field-best 27 birdies.
Fitzpatrick was in full control of his Pro V1x golf ball, gaining over 10 shots (+10.52) tee to green (8th).
Each one of the top-10 finishers teed up a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball, with 79% of the field (109 players) gaming a Titleist.
Titleist was also the most played driver (38%), iron (32%) and wedge (46%).

KORN FERRY TOUR | Club Car Championship

Gaming a setup that includes his Pro V1 golf ball and brand-new GTS2 driver, Titleist Brand Ambassador Davis Lamb carded a bogey-free 68 to win his first KFT title by two in Savannah.

The 28-year-old was dialed from tee to green, hitting 77% FIR (T11) and 81% GIR (T2), which set him up for 23 birdies over four rounds at The Landings.
He got up-and-down for par on 10 of 14 attempts (71%, T9) with his NEW Vokey Design SM11 wedges and averaged 1.62 putts per GIR (5th) with his Scotty Cameron Newport 2 blade putter.

LAMB WINS IN 1st WEEK WITH GTS2 DRIVER; ADDS U•505 4-IRON

On Monday in Savannah, Davis Lamb tested the new Titleist GTS2 driver for the first time.
On Thursday, Lamb’s new GTS2 9-degree model was in the bag as he stepped to the first tee. On Sunday, he brought it to the winner’s circle.
Lamb, one of 20 players who made the immediate move to GTS in its first week on the KFT, was first introduced to his new driver on the range Monday by Titleist Tour Rep Chris Eikenberg.
After a roughly 30-minute session comparing the GTS2 against his gamer GT2, Lamb confirmed with Eikenberg that he could put it in play on Thursday.
“He was pretty pumped and excited to get it in play,” Eikenberg said. “He felt like he could go after a little bit more. Really loved the sound and the feel. We left it in a good spot and obviously it worked out very well for him, which was awesome to see.”
Lamb was one of 11 players who played GTS2 models this week in Savannah. Seven played GTS3 with two GTS4 setups going in play.
Another change to Lamb’s setup this week came at the top end of his blended T-Series iron setup.
Lamb plays the 2025 T100 irons in his 5-iron through pitching wedge and previously had been gaming a T150 4-iron.
Looking for more peak height and stopping power, he moved into a U•505 4-iron, which flew 15 feet higher and carried five yards more than his T150.

PGA TOUR OF AUSTRALASIA | The National Tournament

Titleist Brand Ambassador Cameron John (Pro V1) made birdie on the first playoff hole to win his 3rd PGA TOUR of Australasia title of ’25-26 and earn full status on the HotelPlanner Tour in 2027.

John, gaming his Pro V1 golf ball and full bag of Titleist equipment, recorded rounds of 73-70-66-68 in the season finale, matching the four-round total (277) of Titleist Brand Ambassador Daniel Gale (Pro V1).
Travis Smyth (Pro V1) finished No. 1 on the PGA Tour of Australasia’s Order of Merit, securing DP World Tour status for next season.
In total, 74% of the field teed up a Titleist golf ball this week in Gunnamatta (56 players), four times the nearest competitor.
Titleist was also the most played driver with 35 players (46%).

PGA TOUR CHAMPIONS | Hoag Classic

Stewart Cink (Pro V1) earned his second win of the season, carding rounds of 66-62-66 to win by four.

Cink’s ball-striking was exceptional this week, as he hit 46 of 54 GIR (85%, T1) on his way to his sixth career Champions Tour title.
The shot of the week came in Round 2 on the par-5 18th, when Cink holed his Pro V1 from the fairway for an albatross, opening up a three-shot lead heading into Sunday.

SUNSHINE TOUR | The Courier Guy Playoffs: DNi Tour Championship

In the final event of the 2025-26 Sunshine Tour season, Marin Vorster (Pro V1x) broke through for his first career victory.

He made five birdies and an eagle on Sunday, closing in 66 and securing a two-shot win.
Titleist Brand Ambassador Luis Carrera locked up Rookie of the Year honors after a multi-win campaign in ‘25-26.
Carrera was the winner of Sunshine Tour Q-School as well as the first two events of the ‘25-26 season, becoming the first player in tour history to win all three in succession.

JLPGA | AXA LADIES GOLF TOURNAMENT in MIYAZAKI

Saki Nagamine (Pro V1) came home in 6-under 30 to post a final-round 66 and win by two.

Nagamine’s back nine included birdies on each of her final four holes.
She also made an eagle on No. 10 and another birdie on No. 12.
The win marks her fourth career JLPGA title.

Matt Fitzpatrick and Hyo Joo Kim Trust Pro V1x to Win the Valspar Championship and Fortinet Founders Cup

PGA TOUR | Valspar Championship (Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club

In absolute control of his Pro V1x golf ball, Matt Fitzpatrick led the field with over 11 strokes gained tee-to-green this week at Innisbrook’s Copperhead Course, birdieing the 72nd hole to claim the one-shot victory.

Fitzpatrick was the only player to post four rounds in the 60s (68-69-68-68) while going bogey-free over his final 36 holes.
Fitzpatrick was dialed-in with his ball-striking, gaining nearly six shots on the field with his approach play (+5.939, 2nd).
He hit 72% GIR (2nd) and finished second in Proximity with an average of 32 feet, 3 inches.
Fitzpatrick led a 1-2-3 finish for Titleist golf ball players, followed by runner-up David Lipsky (Pro V1x) and third-place finisher Jordan Smith (Pro V1), as eight of the top 10 and 21 of the top 25 finishers played a Pro V1 or Pro V1x.

“There’s obviously so many different variables with a golf ball. I’ve always been kind of a lower flight player but I am kind of high spin, so that’s where I feel like my game is at with the golf ball. To be able to rely on the golf ball and know that it’s going to do what I want it to do – have a consistent flight, consistent spin with every shot that I hit – that’s so important. Having that ability to know what your ball is going to do rather than second guessing makes a hell of a difference and obviously makes you more comfortable. And from there you’re going to hit better golf shots. I love the golf ball that I’m in, it just works perfectly for my game.”
“The reason [Pro V1x] is so good for me is feel. I like the harder feel off the club face. I just feel like the spin’s consistent, the flight’s consistent, and that’s what you need in a golf ball. You don’t need it kind of in different windows. It’s nice to have that consistency to have the confidence in the golf ball to know how far it’s going to go every time, and to be within a really tight deviation is obviously so important. This is a game of inches after all, the margins are so fine you want it to be as tight as possible. So that’s why I play Pro V1x because it’s exactly that, you know what you’re going to get every shot and you don’t get any strange effects from shots.”

LPGA | Fortinet Founders Cup

Hyo Joo Kim (Pro V1x) went wire-to-wire to win LPGA title No. 8, trusting her Pro V1x golf ball to a one-shot victory in Northern California.

Kim opened with the week’s best round, a 9-under 63 capped by an eagle on the par-5 18th.
Kim was one of 103 players (71%) this week playing a Titleist golf ball, with three of the top four finishers gaming a Pro V1 or Pro V1x.

DP World Tour / China Tour | Hainan Classic

Titleist Brand Ambassador Jordan Gumberg made a field-best 25 birdies at Mission Hills on his way to a wire-to-wire win, his second on the DP World Tour.

Gaming a setup that included his Pro V1 golf ball, GT metals, blended set of Titleist irons, Vokey Design wedges and Scotty Cameron Phantom putter, Gumberg followed an opening 8-under 64 with three more rounds of 70 or better (66-69-70) on his way to a one-shot victory.
The 30-year-old American’s control of his Pro V1 golf ball was on full display in Hainan, as he gained more than 10 shots (+10.36) from tee to green (3rd).
Over five strokes came from his approach play (+5.16, 8th), and he hit 74% greens in regulation (8th).
He also had total command of his GT3 driver, gaining +5.04 strokes off-the-tee (4th) and finishing tied for 5th in Driving Accuracy (86%).
Gumberg, who kept his DPWT card with a dramatic hole-out eagle on the 72nd hole of the Genesis Championship in Korea last October, was also dialed around the greens with his Vokey wedges, converting 14 of 19 up-and-downs to finish T10 in Scrambling (74%).
On the greens, he ranked 6th in SG: Putting with his Scotty Cameron Phantom 9.2R tour prototype putter, gaining over five shots (+5.4).
Gumberg led a 1-through-8 finish for Pro V1 and Pro V1x players, as Titleist was the overwhelming #1 golf ball at Mission Hills (78%).
11-time China Tour winner and Titleist Brand Ambassador Yanhan Zhou recorded rounds of 68-68-68-69 to reach 15-under and secure a T3 finish on home soil.
The 17-year-old earned his 2026 DP World Tour card after a record-breaking 2025 China Tour season highlighted by seven wins and an Order of Merit title.

Now on Tour: Titleist GTS Drivers

Titleist continues to be the most played driver on the PGA TOUR, further underscored by THE PLAYERS Champion Cameron Young and last Sunday’s historic drive down the 18^th fairway at TPC Sawgrass with his Titleist GT driver. Young, the runner-up and five of the top-7 finishers all had a Titleist driver in the bag at the Stadium Course.

Tomorrow, for the first time, PGA TOUR players in the field at the Texas Children’s Houston Open are getting their first look at the next generation of Titleist driver technology: GTS.

The lineup of three new Titleist driver models — GTS2, GTS3 and GTS4 — is also being introduced to players at this week's LPGA Ford Championship and the Korn Ferry Tour’s Club Car Championship.

Constant collaboration between Titleist R&D and the world’s best is deeply ingrained in Titleist’s product development cycle. As the game’s most discerning players, tour pros are an essential resource in designing and validating innovations that will outperform the prior generation.

“I’m pumped,” said Titleist Brand Ambassador Michael Brennan following a prototype testing session late last year. “I was disappointed I couldn’t play it, put it right in the bag. I love my GT, but I’m looking forward to the ‘S’ coming out here soon.”

Thursday will mark the first opportunity for tour players to game the new GTS drivers in competition.

In 2025 on the PGA TOUR, Titleist was the most played driver brand for the seventh straight season, accounting for 40% of all drivers played according to Darrell Survey.

Titleist Brand Ambassador Cameron Young Wins THE PLAYERS Championship

Fearless down the stretch at TPC Sawgrass, Titleist Brand Ambassador Cameron Young (Titleist Pro V1x prototype) closed out the week with a bogey-free, three-birdie back nine to become THE PLAYERS Champion.

Playing a Pro V1x prototype golf ball and 14 Titleist clubs, Young posted a 4-under 68 Sunday to finish the week 13 under, one shot clear of Matt Fitzpatrick (Pro V1x).
Young's control of his Titleist golf ball was on full display this week in Ponte Vedra, as he gained nearly 10 shots (+9.840) tee to green (5th).
That included +7.076 strokes gained on approach shots (3rd), while leading the event in Proximity with an average of 28 feet, 1 inch.
On Sunday, he averaged a field-best 24 feet, 11 inches to the hole, making birdies on No. 1 (15 feet, 3 inches), No. 7 (3 feet, 4 inches), No. 10 (14 feet, 9 inches), No. 13 (3 feet, 9 inches) and No. 17 (9 feet, 7 inches).
Young’s birdie on the infamous island-green 17th on Sunday was his third straight, becoming the first PLAYERS champion to make birdie there in each of his final three rounds. On Saturday, he hit his tee shot to 21 inches.
Young also led the field in Scrambling, getting up and down on 16 of 21 attempts. He gained nearly five shots (+4.813) putting.
It was a 1-2 finish for Pro V1x and GT3 drivers, as five of the top seven finishers played a Titleist golf ball and driver. Six of the top seven had at least two Vokey wedges in the bag, while four gamed Titleist iron sets.
Overall, Titleist was the overwhelming #1 ball (68%) and most played driver (35%), iron (30%) and wedge (50%) among the elite 123-player field.

‘IT MAKES GOLF EASIER FOR ME’: CAMERON YOUNG EARNS 2ND WIN AFTER MOVE TO PRO V1x PROTOTYPE GOLF BALL

With his victory at THE PLAYERS, Cameron Young has now won twice with seven top-10's in 11 starts since moving to a new Titleist Pro V1x prototype golf ball that he had been collaborating on with the Titleist Golf Ball R&D team.
Titleist R&D is constantly soliciting feedback from the world's best players on the performance of their golf ball and their evolving performance needs. This process will often result in the development of new prototypes, some of which are designed to finely tune very specific flight, spin and feel characteristics.
These Custom Performance Options (CPOs) – such as Pro V1 Left Dot and Pro V1x Left Dash – play an important role in the discovery of new technological advancements that are frequently incorporated into next generation Pro V1 and Pro V1x models. CPOs also provide key learnings in the continued development of more robust custom performance options for all golfers and their unique launch conditions.
“Fitting’s tremendously important,” Young said. “I mean, at a lower level, it can make a huge difference. At our level, it makes smaller differences in a sense, but huge differences because we have so much more experience and have so much more feel than your average golfer. And that all just kind of creeps into how we play. So, little tiny changes can make a huge difference to us.”
During a visit to the Titleist Performance Center at Manchester Lane (Acushnet, Mass.), Young, who was previously playing Pro V1 Left Dot, spent a range session with Fordie Pitts, Titleist’s Director of Tour Research & Validation, testing early iterations of what would eventually become the ball he used to win his first PGA TOUR title.
“The first time I hit it (at Manchester Lane) was kind of blind testing,” Young said. “Just immediately, the window it came out of was really nice. I really liked that the top of the flight looked like it just came back down. I’ve never liked to see anything floating and so that just really indicated a real consistency.”
Late last summer at the Wyndham Championship, Pitts approached Young to let him know that the final Pro V1x prototypes were now available to play in competition.
“We weren’t sure if he was going to test it [that] week, but as he was warming up, he asked to hit a couple on the range,” Pitts said. “He was then curious to see some shots out on the course.”
Young, accompanied by Pitts, teed off Sedgefield’s first hole with both Left Dot and the Pro V1x prototype. By the second hole, he was exclusively hitting shots with the Pro V1x.
“And kind of right off the bat, hit a couple wedges into 1 and 2 at Sedgefield and we were just like, ‘This makes golf easier for me,’” Young said. “So it was a really immediate just kind of thing among my dad, caddie and Fordie were all just like, ‘This makes perfect sense.’ ”
Said Pitts: “He was hitting tight draws everywhere. His misses were staying more in play. He hit some, what he would call ‘11 o'clock shots,’ where again he's taking a little something off it. He had great control there.”
Further validation came on the seventh hole, a par 3 that played between 184 and 225 yards during the tournament. The setup on Tuesday's practice round called for a 5-iron from Young, who thought there was “no way” he could fly a 6-iron to the flag with his Left Dot.
“He then hits this 6-iron [with the Pro V1x prototype] absolutely dead at the flag, and it lands right next to the pin, ending up just past it,” Pitts said. “And his response was, ‘remarkable.’ He couldn’t believe that he got that club there.”
After the nine-hole practice round on Tuesday, Pitts walked with Young for nine more holes on Wednesday. Following the round, Young asked the team to put the Pro V1x prototypes in his locker. The results were immediate. Young opened the week 63-62, making 16 birdies over the two rounds before running away with a six-shot victory, his first on the PGA TOUR.

Tied for the lead on Sunday at THE PLAYERS, Cameron Young stepped to the 18th tee and pulled the GT3 11-degree driver that he had moved into just the week prior at Bay Hill.
Facing TPC Sawgrass’ most treacherous tee shot with the wind at his back, Young unleashed a 375-yard drive around the lake down the right side of the fairway.
It was the longest drive ever recorded on that hole in the ShotLink Era.
Said Young: “My thought process over that ball is, one, making sure that I’m committed to my line, and two, the overarching thought is ‘I’m going to hit the best shot of my life right here.’ I don't know if I can think of one that's better... first time that thought's really popped in my mind, and I think I did what I intended. It’s one of the best shots I've ever hit in my life.”
Since his switch to a new Pro V1x prototype golf ball late last season, Young has worked with J.J. Van Wezenbeeck, Titleist’s Senior Director of Player Promotions, to further dial in the top end of his bag.

After making an initial move from his GT2 9.0° into a GT2 10.0°, Young, who has also been working through some swing changes, thought there was an opportunity to further optimize his carry distance. In working with Van Wezenbeeck at Bay Hill, they moved to the 11-degree GT3 head, lofted down to 10.25 in the D•1 Surefit hosel setting, resulting in higher launch without impacting spin.
The new setup took his launch conditions from 9 degrees at 2400 RPMs to 11/2500.
Following his golf ball change, Young has also added a GT1 14.5 fairway and GT1 20.0 hybrid to the top end of his bag. The 14.5-degree GT1 fairway, which Young added to the bag after testing this past offseason, is a tour-inspired model designed to produce effortless launch and stability while keeping spin in a low, playable window. It is packaged in GT1’s shallow fairway profile, but a stronger loft and lower center of gravity from its multi-material construction drive down spin compared to standard GT1 fairways.
Earlier this year at the Farmers Insurance Open, Young was looking to increase launch in his hybrid. After working with reps onsite, he added a GT1 hybrid with a Mitsubishi Diamana PD 80TX fairway wood shaft, which increased his peak height and gave him even more consistency than his previous hybrid gamer.

GT1 hybrids feature a sharper leading edge that sits low to the turf, helping produce easy launch and more playability out of the rough. They also both have fore-aft weight adjustability, which allows Titleist tour reps to lower spin and still maintain launch by moving weight forward in the head. The result is a high, strong ball flight that doesn’t over-spin.

YOUNG LEADS THE FIELD IN PROXIMITY WITH BLENDED TITLEIST IRON SET, CUSTOM BLADE IRONS

For his irons, Young plays a blended set comprised of a T200 4-iron, a T100 5-iron and 631.CY prototype 6-9 irons. Young's T-Series long irons give him optimal peak heights and gapping through the top end of his iron setup.
Young’s custom blades were designed with a pre-worn leading edge and a slightly wider sole to help reduce dig and improve turf interaction for Young’s delivery. Titleist R&D also moved weight lower in the head for slightly higher launch and peak height.
Said Young on the development process: “It started just as basically a question. It was, ‘Hey, if your irons could do anything different what would they do?’ I said, ‘help me not dig quite as quickly into the ground at impact, and if anything, launch a little higher.’”

“I think it was one year from then they came and handed me a blank iron and said, ‘here, hit this,’” Young continued. “And I hit about three shots. They said, ‘what do you think?’ I said, ‘that seems great.’ Didn't hear from him for about six more months. And then they handed me a 6-iron and I said, ‘that feels great.’ And then all of a sudden, bang, I had my own set, and I wouldn't change anything about them. They’re honestly everything I could have ever asked for.”
This week at TPC Sawgrass, Young led the field in Proximity (28’ 1”) while gaining over seven shots on the field with his approach play (+7.076, 3rd). He also hit 71% GIR over the four rounds (8th).
Young, who has been working through some swing changes, also spent time with Van Wezenbeeck last month at Riviera to dial in the lie angles on his short irons, moving them more upright to produce his desired start lines.

YOUNG WINS WITH NEW VOKEY SM11 WEDGES, LEADS FIELD IN SCRAMBLING

Staring down the 134-yard 17th hole on Sunday, one shot back of the lead, Cameron Young pulled his NEW Vokey Design SM11 56.14F (@ 57) sand wedge and stuck his approach to within 10 feet, setting up a clutch final birdie of his week. It was his third birdie on the 17th in as many rounds, having rolled in a 24-footer on Friday and flagged his tee shot to inside two feet on Saturday.
In addition to his approach play, Young was also dialed around the greens with his entire set of SM11 wedges — 48.10F, 52.12F, 56.14F (@ 57), WedgeWorks 60K* (@ 62) — as he converted 16 of 21 up-and-downs for a field-best 76% clip.

Over the past four years, Young has worked closely with Vokey Tour Rep Aaron Dill to dial in his wedge setup. One of the key changes involved moving from a 56-degree (@ 57) M Grind to, eventually, a 56.14F (@ 57), which improved consistency in carry numbers from distance and gave him more purpose greenside with his sand wedge.
Another change to Young's setup involved moving to a 60-degree K* Grind lob wedge (@ 62), one of the most popular grinds on the PGA TOUR.
Instead of the full, smooth sole of the .06K Grind, the sole of the K* Grind features a steeper pre-wear on the leading edge to provide forgiveness from the square-faced position. K* also has heel, toe and trailing edge relief, which allows the leading edge to sit closer to the ground when the face is opened. And like all K Grind variations, K* has a wide sole that excels out of the bunker.
For Cameron Young, bunker performance was the primary motivation to move to K* in May of 2024 from his previous lower-bounce T Grind lob wedge setup: “The 62 is a 60 bent a little weak just to get the bounce right, but that's what I use mostly around the greens,” Young said. “So I've got a little bit more bounce than I used to have. Probably last time we did this, I was on a very low bounce version of it, and we went to this just to help improve bunker play... That one was a switch we made just over a year ago, PGA Championship Valhalla. I came to Aaron Dill and was having some issues and he said, ‘Hey, try this.’”
“What we've learned over the years of working with the best players in the world is anytime we start to add a little bit of width to the bottom of the golf club, that creates a little bit of easy height,” said Dill. “So we talk about the K Grind being the bunker-friendly club. [K*] is a little bit of the best of both worlds because at the same time of him wanting to have all of the ease that comes out of the bunker with the height, the spin, the stopping power, he still wants the versatility that he so desperately needs in those firmer conditions... when he has to open up that face, it has to look good. It has to sit close to the ground. So that's the beauty about the K* is we've got the width for the bunkers, we've got the polishing on the bottom that helps with those green side shots when you have to open up the face.”
Said Young: “I think I went 10 for 10 out of bunkers that week, and [K* has] been in ever since.”

YOUNG KEEPS IT ROLLING WITH PHANTOM 9.5R PUTTER

Young was lights out on the greens this week, gaining over 4.5 shots on the field with his Scotty Cameron Phantom 9.5R tour prototype putter (+4.813, 7th).
Young has played a Phantom putter for the entirety of his PGA TOUR career, gaming various head shapes and neck configurations since 2021. One reason he has gravitated towards the Phantom family is the stability and MOI provided by a larger mallet profile. The increased footprint also creates space for different alignment offerings, from direct features like his 9.5R gamer’s single black sightline to the more subtle angles and contours of the putter’s head shape and design.

“There’s an element of forgiveness to it that just I think in my head makes sense,” said long-time Phantom loyalist Cameron Young. “I’ve just grown to like the way that [Phantom mallets] look. I look at a blade now and I have more trouble lining it up.”
Last year, he made an early season move at the 2025 RBC Heritage from a plumbing neck (.2) to a jet neck (.5) within the 9R head shape, seeking more toe flow in his putting stroke.
“He’s always wanted to feel flow in the putter,” said Scotty Cameron Tour Rep Brad Cloke. “We’ve started in face-balanced mallets for him and we’ve kind of worked our way down to a point where he’s felt comfortable enough to feel the toe flow the way he wants it and get the release of the putter that he wants.”
Said Young: “I just felt like the middle of the face was more apparent to me [after the move] with a little bit more [face] rotation and a little bit more release into the ball. I felt like I just struck it more in the middle, which kind of helped my speed, made it roll a little tighter... I feel like I've putted better and better as my mechanics keep improving and as I get more familiar with it.”
The switch paid off. Young delivered the best putting season of his career in 2025, finishing the year 7th in Strokes Gained: Putting (+0.642 per round), T6 in Putting Average (1.704) and 4th in One-Putt Percentage (44.57%), while collecting his first TOUR win at the Wyndham Championship.
On Sunday, he used his gamer to roll in over 81 feet of putts, including a breaking 9’ 7” birdie putt on the 17th green that saw him reach the eventual winning 13-under total.

Titleist Brand Ambassador Daniel Van Tonder (Pro V1x) shot a 9-under 63 Sunday to charge up the leaderboard and secure a two-shot victory at The Serengeti Playoffs.

The South African’s final round was highlighted by a clutch birdie-eagle-birdie finish on Nos. 16-18, which saw him reach the winning 21-under number.
Nine of the top 10 finishers on the final leaderboard played a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball, with a total of 83% of the field in Kempton Park teeing up a Titleist golf ball.
Titleist was also the most played driver, gamed by 32 players (53%).

Titleist Introduces New AIM Designs for AVX, Tour Soft, Velocity and TruFeel Golf Balls

Testing has shown that players using Titleist AIM designs are up to 35% more precise in aligning their putts

Titleist expands upon its player-validated golf ball alignment offerings with the introduction of four new Alignment Integrated Marking (AIM) models to help golfers achieve more precise alignment on the greens.

Complementing the AIM designs already available on Pro V1, Pro V1x and Pro V1x Left Dash, the addition of four unique patterns on Titleist’s AVX, Tour Soft, Velocity and TruFeel models rounds out a complete lineup of advanced alignment designs across the entire golf ball family.

AVX and TruFeel models are both offered with new AIM 360 markings, custom printed around the circumference of the golf ball, while AIM Performance designs are featured opposite the sidestamp on both Tour Soft and Velocity, the fourth pole of design space on the golf ball. All four new Titleist AIM golf ball models are now available in golf shops worldwide and on Titleist.com.

“We’ve conducted significant testing around alignment tendencies and how accurate players are with different types of markings,” said Scott Cooper, Titleist’s Director of Golf Ball Product Development. “The data consistently shows improvement for most golfers when they align their putts with our AIM designs. When we talk about improved performance, it needs to be discernible and impactful to the golfer.”

"Interestingly, AIM is more valuable as you get farther from the hole,” said Frederick Waddell, Director of Golf Ball Product Management. “On a four-foot putt, you might be okay lining up your ball with a standard sidestamp because it's such a short putt. But as you go back to 12 feet or 16 feet, you could be off by up to a foot on either side of the hole as that dispersion cone gets wider. The data really illustrates that, for golfers who like a form of alignment on their ball, our AIM designs can help them be more precise on the greens.”

Precision Validated: Behind The Development Process for Aim Models

Before every new Titleist golf ball model is introduced, it must undergo rigorous testing to demonstrate discernible performance advantages for the golfer. Titleist Golf Ball R&D and manufacturing teams have approached advanced alignment designs with the same intentionality.

“Golfers expect Titleist to deliver real performance benefits, and that was our goal from the start,” Waddell said. “As we always do, we went to the PGA TOUR and LPGA Tour to understand their use of alignment features and preferred designs.”

Roughly 65% of Titleist golf ball players on the PGA TOUR mark their Pro V1 or Pro V1x with some kind of alignment cue. The first AIM Performance design, currently available on Pro V1 family models, was inspired by the most popular of those tour player additions: a long, straight line.

Titleist also extended AIM research to dedicated golfers, testing more unique, custom alignment features with Team Titleist members to gauge design appeal. There was clear interest, and not just from Pro V1 and Pro V1x players.

To assess the effectiveness of AIM designs, Titleist Golf Ball R&D developed a proprietary device that measured how precise golfers were in aligning their golf ball to a target in a controlled test. The new technology helped Titleist uncover thousands of data points around alignment tendencies through player testing.

Golfers were instructed to line up their golf ball to the hole using a variety of alignment cues, and precision was evaluated by measuring the left-right proximity of their aim to the hole through absolute angles. Results revealed a noticeably tighter alignment distribution for golfers using AIM alignment aids compared to those using a standard length sidestamp. Specifically, golfers using AIM were up to 35% more precise with their alignment.

Adding to a historic summer campaign, Titleist Brand Ambassador Lottie Woad won on the LPGA in her professional debut, earning a decisive three-shot victory in Scotland.

The 21-year-old, gaming her 2025 Pro V1 golf ball and a setup that includes her TSR3 driver, GT2 fairway, T150 irons and Vokey Design SM10 wedges, shot rounds of 67-65-67-68 to post 21 under.
Over the past two months, the former No. 1-ranked amateur has been on a run to remember.

“I was in the 2023 Pro V1, and then I got I got fitted [for 2025 Pro V1] in January this year and then put it straight into play,” she said. “It was a very easy transition as it was flying in the window I like but with a little bit more speed and a little bit more spin, which is always nice.”
“I feel like I can flight the ball really well into the wind as well, so it felt like there were some definite improvements. (...) With the Pro V1 I know I can execute all the shots I want to. I know it’s going to perform exactly how I need it to.”

WOAD’S VOKEY SM10 WEDGE SETUP: BUILT FOR VERSATILITY

Lottie Woad won her maiden LPGA title with three Vokey Design SM10 wedges in the bag: 50.08F, 54.10S, WedgeWorks 58.06K.

Woad made a subtle setup tweak for her professional debut at the top end of her iron setup.
Seeking higher flight with her 5-iron, she added a NEW T150 to her bag after seeing more launch and spin with a steeper landing angle from the new model.
Increased long-iron launch was one of the primary design goals with the newest generation of T-Series irons.
NEW T150 irons feature an improved muscle channel from 7-iron up, which lowers CG and promotes faster ball speeds and higher launch, while a new Variable Face Thickness design also improves speed and launch conditions across the face.

PGA TOUR | 3M Open

The winner of the 3M Open claimed his second career PGA TOUR title gaming a setup that included his GT3 driver, GT1 fairways, Vokey Design SM10 wedges and Scotty Cameron Studio Style Newport 2 tour prototype putter.

For the week at TPC Twin Cities, he gained 1.710 strokes on the field off the tee (23rd), 1.849 strokes around the green (11th) and 0.781 putting (37th).
He also ranked 7th in Putts per GIR (1.62) and 4th in Feet of Putts Made.

3M CHAMP DIALED WITH GT3 DRIVER

Having played a competitive driver and fairways for the past several seasons, the 3M Open champion made an off-season trip to the Titleist Performance Institute, where he got dialed into a GT3 11.0° driver (Graphite Design Tour AD VF-7 TX).
When he arrived in Hawaii to start his 2025 season, he did so with his new driver as well as two GT2 fairways, three Vokey Design SM10 wedges and a Scotty Cameron putter.
The 32-year-old has stuck with the same driver setup all year, which has given him greater spin consistency and control over shot shape.
With GT3 in the bag, he has risen to 12th on TOUR in Strokes Gained: Tee to Green (+0.519) and 7th in Driving Distance in 2025.
GT drivers were also used to win this week on the Korn Ferry Tour’s NV5 Invitational (Johnny Keefer, GT2), the PGA Tour Americas’ Ottawa Open (GT2), the U.S. Junior Amateur (GT2) and the Pacific Coast Amateur (GT3).
Lottie Woad won on the LPGA with her TSR3 driver, as did the winner of the Senior Open.

WINNER GAMES GT1 3TOUR 3-WOOD, GT1 7-WOOD

While this week’s winner began his season with GT2 fairways in the bag, he eventually settled on a GT1 3Tour 14.5° fairway and a GT1 21.0 fairway to round out the top end of his bag.
The GT1 3Tour, which was recently introduced as an addition to the GT metalwood family, is packaged in GT1’s shallow fairway profile and delivers high launch and stability.
However, a stronger loft – 14.5 degrees – and lower center of gravity from its multi-material construction drive down spin compared to standard GT1 fairways.
Said JJ Van Wezenbeeck, Titleist's Senior Director of Club Promotions, on the inspiration behind the GT1 3Tour: “Tour feedback is incredibly valuable, so we involve our players in testing for all products — even those that may be designed with a different player in mind. During GT1 fairway testing, we found some tour players really loved the shaping and face height, but we knew that many of them would need a little less loft and lower CG for a stronger flight. Tom Bennett [Principal Product Manager, Titleist Metalwood R&D] and the R&D team were able to give us a product in GT1 3Tour that gave us all the benefits of the GT1 shaping while lowering spin to a more optimal window for those players. Since bringing it out on tour, we’ve seen strong adoption from several players who like a shallow, easy-to-launch design, but need a little less spin.”
The champion made a tweak to his GT1 3Tour setup earlier this week, working with Titleist reps to improve strike location.
They eventually moved from a Graphite Design Tour AD DI-8 TX shaft to the lighter, slightly softer Graphite Design Tour AD DI-7 X.
With a one-shot lead on the 72nd hole and the tournament on the line, the champion pulled his GT1 3Tour 3-wood.
He striped his tee shot 315 yards down the fairway of the water-guarded, 591-yard par-5 18th hole, which helped set up a winning par.

CHAMPION GAINS WITH VOKEY SM10 WEDGE SETUP, SCOTTY CAMERON STUDIO STYLE PROTOTYPE PUTTER

The 3M Open winner brought three Vokey Design SM10 wedges to the winner’s circle on Sunday: 52.12F, 56.14F, WedgeWorks 60K*.
He finished 11th in Strokes Gained: Around the Green (+1.849).
While he has trusted a Vokey Design lob wedge for several years (he won his other PGA TOUR title at the 2023 Arnold Palmer Invitational with a similar 60.06K wedge to his current 60K* gamer), the 52-degree and 56-degree F Grind wedges were also off-season additions.

The Studio Style prototype putter that he moved to also featured the Studio Carbon Steel face insert that was first introduced this year across the entire Studio Style line.
Both the alignment cue of the sight dot and the feel of the new face insert clicked – and the putter has been in the bag since.
This week in Minnesota, he gained strokes on the field on the greens while ranking 7th in Putts per GIR (1.62) and 4th in Feet of Putts Made.

PGA TOUR CHAMPIONS | ISPS HANDA Senior Open

Gaming his 2025 Pro V1 golf ball, Padraig Harrington captured back-to-back major championships, winning the Senior Open just four weeks after his U.S. Senior Open triumph.

With the victory, Harrington became just the fifth player in history to win both the Open Championship and the Senior Open.
The Irishman won back-to-back Open Championships in 2007 and 2008.
This week at Sunningdale, Harrington carded four rounds of 67 or better (67-65-65-67) to post 16 under and win by three.
He now has 11 Champions Tour titles to name, three of which are majors.

Titleist Brand Ambassador Johnny Keefer won his second KFT title of 2025, vaulting himself atop the season-long Points List and officially locking up his 2026 PGA TOUR card.

Keefer, gaming his Pro V1x golf ball, GT2 driver and fairway, blended set of T150, T100 and 620 CB irons and Vokey Design SM10 wedges, carded rounds of 65-63-61-69 this week, posting 26 under and winning by two.
He was in total control of his ball-striking, hitting 62 of 72 greens in regulation (86%).
He converted 21 birdies and four eagles.
The 24-year-old broke through with a win at the Veritex Bank Championship in late April earlier this season.
In addition to his now two victories, Keefer has two runner-up finishes along with four other top-15 finishes.

Brett White (2025 Pro V1x) shot a closing 59 to post the clubhouse lead before winning in extra holes.

White’s bogey-free final round featured 11 birdies and an eagle on the 72nd hole, which saw him reach 26 under for the tournament.
After he was matched by Danny Fisher (2025 Pro V1) and one other, the trio returned to the 18th for a playoff, where White made two more birdies around the 593-yard par-5 18th to take the title.
White’s game was dialed in all week long, as he ranked inside the top 10 in driving accuracy (79%, T3), greens in regulation (83%, T6) and scrambling (83%, 5th).
He made 25 birdies and two eagles, while only dropping three shots over 72 holes.
With the victory, he is projected to jump 11 spots up to No. 3 in the Fortinet Cup standings, with the top 10 finishers by season’s end earning exempt Korn Ferry Tour membership for 2026.

AMATEUR | U.S. Junior Amateur

The winner of the 77th U.S. Junior Amateur made birdie on the 35th hole of Saturday’s championship match to win, 2 and 1.

RYAN GERARD ON WHY HE PLAYS PRO V1

“I love the Pro V1 because of the feel. It hits the trajectories that I want. The spin is kind of just slightly on the lower side compared to that X, which benefits me a little bit more with my bag setup, and I really love it. I feel confident every time I show up and hit the golf ball, and it's a very consistent thing and it's the one thing I use on every shot, so it's very important.”
“Spin is a very finicky word in the golf business. You don't want too much, and you don't want too little. So you're kind of looking for those thresholds and ranges on certain clubs. And the Pro V1 kind of hits every single one that I'm looking for, especially on and around the greens. I feel very confident with the feel and kind of the control and how much it checks and the different shots and the playability that I have with it. So I really love it.”

GERARD ON HIS GT3 DRIVER

“I'm playing the GT3. I play an 11-degree driver, but I play a Ventus shaft in it and I've been playing it since this December. It took me a couple months to get rid of my TSR, but this new GT3 is fantastic. It's the best driver I've ever hit just in terms of consistency, it flies exactly kind of the way I want to. It hits the windows that I want to, and I feel very confident every time I tee it up I'm going to hit that slight baby fade that I'm looking for.”
“I feel like this one really holds its flight nicely. It kind of stays in the trajectory that I'm looking for and just, it never really goes offline. It kind of hangs or falls offline instead of diving offline, which I really like.”
“Just knowing that the TSi series, the TSR's and now the GT's, there's just been such drastic improvement. I felt like for a while there, Titleist was just kind of on the way up. And with this GT, it really has kind of set the standard for what you want in a driver. I feel like it's very consistent. I feel like the speed is there, the height is there, but more importantly, when you look down it looks good. You have that confidence in it and that traditional kind of setting that you get with a title is the way it looks and you can step up and make a good swing and it does exactly what you want it to do.”

GERARD ON HIS BLENDED IRON SETUP

“4-iron is T200. I just need a little bit more height with the 4-iron coming into the greens on the tour. They're a little bit firm for the most part. So it gives me more stopping power into some of these greens when you're looking for a shot from 225 yards. But then we go to the meat of the bag, these T100's... I've been playing them since they handed them to me on the truck at LACC, and I put them in play that week at a major. That's rare to put something brand new in play major week, but they were that good that I just had to do it. They've been in the bag ever since.”

GERARD ON HIS VOKEY WEDGE SETUP

“I play a 46-degree pitching wedge (46.10F)... it goes about 155 yards, just kind of a standard full one. What I like about the 46-degree wedge is it gives me a little bit more versatility in flight. I feel like I can control trajectory a little bit better with it. And when I'm looking at a pitching wedge, I'm not just trying to hit it 155 yards. Sometimes you need to hit it 133 yards into the wind and sometimes you need to hit it 142 yards high and soft. So it really gives me the versatility that I'm looking for and gives me the most confidence in the amount of shots that I can hit with it.
“50-degree (50.08F), this one flies about 140 yards kind of stock full, but then again, you're looking at hitting it from 125 that kind of scoots, to just hitting it downwind from 150 and trying to hit it high and get it stopped... The 54-degree (54.10S), 128 [yards] is kind of the max number on that. It definitely spins a little bit more than the 50. So it is just something that I'm aware of when I'm picking the shot and choosing what I want to hit, knowing that it's going to give me more stopping power and give me kind of that extra height and spin. Sometimes if I need to hit something 132, I'll swing hard at 54 instead of kind of smoothing a 50 just because it gives me a little bit more wiggle room and room for error.”
Gerard also plays a Vokey Design SM10 60.04T lob wedge, which he recently added to the bag at the Memorial after spending time working with Vokey Tour Rep Aaron Dill.
According to Dill, the session revealed that Gerard’s technique was best suited to a low-bounce, thinner-flange setup, which he found in the T Grind.

The low-bounce wedge is ideal for those with shallow and precise deliveries, as well as those playing off firm conditions.

GERARD ROLLING ON GREENS WITH SCOTTY CAMERON PHANTOM 5.2 PUTTER

For the week at Tahoe Mountain Club, Gerard finished 6th in Putts per GIR, averaging 1.66.
On Sunday, he used his Scotty Cameron Phantom 5.2 tour prototype putter to drain a lengthy eagle putt from off the green on No. 11 to extend his lead and jump to +14 on the day.
The Phantom 5.2 is a compact, wing-back mallet with a plumbing neck configuration, which is designed for slightly more toe flow than the mid-bend shaft of the Phantom 5, but slightly less toe flow than the jet neck of the Phantom 5.5.
The familiar lines and angles of the plumbing neck also provide additional body alignment assistance at address, familiar to players transitioning from a blade to a mallet setup.
According to Scotty Cameron Tour Rep Drew Page, Gerard is drawn to the Phantom 5.2 as it gives him the forgiveness of a mallet with the setup and look of a blade.

KORN FERRY TOUR | Price Cutter Charity Championship

After opening the week with back-to-back 62’s, Chandler Blanchet (Pro V1x) closed out his first career KFT victory in wire-to-wire fashion, winning by three shots in Missouri.

Blanchet shot 27 under for the week, which included four rounds in the 60’s (62-62-69-68). He is projected to climb 20 spots in the season-long Points List, up to No. 7 with eight events remaining in 2025.
The 29-year-old's ball-striking was dialed all week long, as he ranked T1 in greens in regulation (65/72, 90%) and T11 in driving accuracy (39/56, 70%).
He converted 25 birdies and three eagles over four rounds at Highland Springs Country Club.

AMATEUR | U.S. Girls' Junior Amateur

Gaming her NEW 2025 Pro V1x golf ball, the winner of the U.S. Girls’ Junior Amateur closed out the 36-hole, all-Pro V1x championship match, 2 and 1, on Saturday at Atlanta Athletic Club.

The champion, who is now exempt into the 2026 U.S. Women’s Open at Riviera Country Club and the 2025 and 2026 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championships, found herself in control at the mid-way point of the match having made five birdies in the morning.
She never relinquished her lead in the afternoon, making a par on the 35th hole to secure the victory and become the championship’s first-ever Canadian winner.
Ninety-seven players this week teed up a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball (62%), including seven of the eight players who advanced to at least the championship quarterfinals.

Phantom Black 9.2R

Originating from tour player feedback and designed with a custom sight line, rounded features and a custom “009-inspired” plumbing neck that is slightly shorter and set farther back toward the heel for additional face awareness compared stock plumbing neck, the all-new Phantom Black 9.2R is a tour-inspired mallet in an all-new shape and setup.

Phantom Black 11

The face balanced Phantom Black 11 is a multi-material mallet with high MOI, stability and forgiveness. The setup includes a mid-bend shaft and parallel sight lines for laser-straight alignment.

TOUR BLACK FINISH

The Tour Black finish on the Phantom Black models comes from a PVD treatment applied to the 303 stainless steel putter head, resulting in a dark look that reduces glare. The 6061 aircraft grade aluminum components are misted and anodised black.

CHAIN-LINK FACE MILLING TECHNOLOGY

Chain-link face milling reduces the putter face’s touch points at impact with the ball, using a texture that softens the sound and provides tour-preferred roll characteristics while preserving feel and feedback off the putter face.

WEIGHTING

The Phantom Black putter line features performance balanced weighting with two, customizable stainless steel heel-toe sole weights. The 10-gram, 15-gram and 20-gram weights are matched to the associated putter lengths of 33 inches, 34 inches and 35 inches. The loft on each model is 3.5 degrees and the lie angle is 70 degrees.

Each Phantom Black putter features a custom-designed, urethane-coated Matador grip and a matching Phantom Black headcover and shaft band.

William Mouw Trusts Pro V1x to Claim His First PGA TOUR Title

In full control of his Pro V1x golf ball, William Mouw closed in 9-under 61 to earn his first career PGA TOUR victory.

Mouw’s final round, which featured nine birdies and zero dropped shots, was the low round of the day by four and beat the field’s Sunday scoring average by 9.5 shots.
His ball-striking masterclass saw him gain over five strokes (5.017) on the field from tee to green on Sunday alone.
For the week in Louisville, the 24-year-old hit 52 of 72 greens in regulation (72%, T3) while getting up-and-down for par 14 of 20 attempts (70%, 2nd).
He converted 20 birdies, ranking second.
With the win, Mouw rises 70 spots up to No. 83 in the FedExCup ranking.

One week removed from his best career PGA TOUR finish – a T11 at the John Deere Classic – top-ranked men’s amateur Jackson Koivun closed in 2-under 68 to finish T6.

The winner of the Amundi Evian Championship rolled in her winning eagle putt in a playoff with her Scotty Cameron Squareback plus tour prototype putter.

WAGR NO. 1 FINISHES T3, EARNS LPGA MEMBERSHIP

Just seven days after winning on the Ladies European Tour, the world’s top-ranked women’s amateur finished T3, one shot out of the playoff, to officially earn her final two requisite points in the LPGA’S new LEAP program (LPGA Elite Amateur Pathway) and unlock status on the LPGA tour.
The 21-year-old, whose equipment setup consists of her NEW 2025 Pro V1 golf ball, TSR3 driver, GT2 fairway, T150 irons and Vokey Design SM10 wedges, made a Sunday push to put herself squarely in contention, closing in 7-under 64 and reaching 13 under for the week.
The Englishwoman earned low amateur honors at this year's U.S. Women’s Open at Erin Hills as well as last summer’s AIG Women’s Open Championship.
Her resume also includes her victory at the 2024 Augusta National Women’s Amateur.
The first player to reach the 20-point threshold, she has the option to accept LPGA membership for the remainder of the 2025 season as well as the 2026 season or defer membership to the 2026 season only.

In his first week gaming his NEW 2025 Pro V1x golf ball, Neal Shipley earned his second Korn Ferry Tour title of the season, closing in 8-under 64 to win by one.

Shipley, now one victory away from an immediate promotion to the PGA TOUR, rises to No. 4 in the season-long Point List, with the top 20 at the season’s end earning TOUR cards.
On Sunday at TPC Colorado, Shipley made eight birdies and an eagle to stage his come-from-behind victory.

PGA TOUR CHAMPIONS | DICK'S Open

Steve Allan (Pro V1) closed in 6-under 66 to post 18 under and earn a four-shot win.

The Australian, who earned his maiden PGA Tour Champions title back in March at the Galleri Classic, was steady all week long, making 18 birdies (T1) and an eagle while only surrendering two bogeys (T1).
He hit 43 of 54 greens in regulation (80%, T4) and led the field in scrambling, getting his Pro V1 up-and-down for par on 10 of 11 attempts (91%).

PGA TOUR AMERICAS | Bromont Open presented by Desjardins

Dillon Stewart (NEW 2025 Pro V1x) earned his first career PGA Tour Americas victory in just his second career start, returning on Monday morning after a weather delay to make a closing par and finish off a one-shot win.

Stewart made 23 birdies and an eagle for the week in Bromont on his way to carding rounds of 63-63-66-67 and posting 21 under.

AMATEUR | Trans-Mississippi Amateur

Playing his NEW 2025 Pro V1 golf ball and a full bag of Titleist equipment, including his GT2 driver and fairway, T100 irons, Vokey SM10 wedges and Scotty Cameron putter, the Trans-Miss Amateur champion closed out a four-shot win after carding his fourth sub-70 round (64-67-67-69) and posting 17 under.

The winner showed no letup, playing his final 53 holes without a bogey – and only dropping one shot all tournament long.
For the 121st playing of the Trans-Mississippi Amateur, 120 players (83%) teed up a Titleist golf ball, including eight of the top 10 finishers.
Titleist was also the most played driver (44%), iron (48%), wedge (57%) and putter (31%).

AMATEUR | U.S. Adaptive Open

The men's champion at Woodmont Country Club captured his third straight U.S. Adaptive Open, becoming the fourth male competitor to win the same USGA event in three consecutive playings.

Titleist Launches New T-Series Iron Lineup

Next generation T100, T150 and T350 irons, along with all-new T250 model, set new standard for performance and consistency throughout the set

Titleist officially introduces the all-new T-Series lineup, engineered to deliver exceptional performance, consistency and feel on every strike. The new T-Series family is comprised of the next generation T100, T150 and T350 irons as well as the brand-new T250 model, built from the ground up as Titleist’s newest player’s distance iron. The all-new, high-launching T250 Launch Spec model also joins the T-Series lineup, fitting an entirely new player profile within the T250 platform.

Each iron is designed around a specific set of performance characteristics while built to blend seamlessly with one another in the bag.

“When I think about our team’s iron philosophy, it starts with this idea of: how are we going to make you better?” said Josh Talge, Titleist’s Senior Vice President of Golf Club Marketing. “With the new T-Series lineup, not only do we have higher-performing products across the board, but we truly have an iron for every dedicated golfer out there. And if you break it down further, each model is designed with the same goal in mind, which is, we want to get you closer to your target more often.”

As the most played iron brand on the PGA TOUR for 11 straight seasons and counting, Titleist’s pool of input in the design process runs deep, ranging from many of the game’s best ball-strikers, to discerning and dedicated amateur players, to Titleist’s worldwide network of consumer fitters.

“Taking all that feedback, there really were three clear design objectives for this next generation of T-Series,” said Marni Ines, Titleist’s Director of Iron Development. “We wanted to increase our long iron launch, tighten our mid- and short-iron spin consistency and improve overall carry distance consistency throughout the bag. Irons are made to hit very specific distances within a specific flight window, and so we’re always trying to make that more repeatable for every iron in your bag.”

When it comes to custom fitting, Titleist has a laser focus on optimizing the 3 D’s – distance control, dispersion and angle of descent – for every golfer. However, the concept of the 3 D’s goes beyond just a fitting philosophy. It is also a north star for product development, with Titleist engineers looking to maximize those three performance parameters at every stage of the design process. The product of this relentless commitment to raising the bar on iron design with each generation is the best-performing T-Series lineup yet.

New T-Series irons are available for fittings and pre-order today, July 10, and will be in golf shops worldwide beginning August 21.

T100: THE MODERN TOUR IRON

Packaged in a forged multi-material clubhead with a tour player-preferred profile, new T100 irons deliver unmatched precision and feel with improved performance throughout the set.

“The main design goals with T100 were in alignment with our priorities across the entire lineup: improve long-iron launch and carry distance consistency,” Ines said. “T100 has a new muscle channel in the 3- and 4-irons to raise launch and peak height, and its new Variable Face Thickness, lower CG and progressive groove design are all really working to tighten up front-to-back distance dispersion.”

One of the most significant improvements in T100 from the prior generation model is found in its performance out of the rough. Titleist engineers designed more aggressive, steeper-walled grooves in the mid- to short-irons (7-iron through PW), which helps maintain spin rates out from the rough or wet conditions, allowing golfers to hit their number more consistently.

Each new T-Series model features a progressive groove design to drive performance across a variety of conditions, no matter the player’s set makeup.

T100 has been the most played iron model on the PGA TOUR since its introduction in 2019. Players who game sets of T100 irons include Ludvig Åberg, Russell Henley, Wyndham Clark and Jordan Spieth. Other players, like Justin Thomas and Billy Horschel, game T100 irons towards the top end of their blended set.

Performance and technology

Forged player-preferred design: New T100’s forged, multi-material platform and Variable Bounce Sole offer exceptional feel off the face and through the turf. Its compact profile includes a thin topline and minimal offset.
Superior flight and stability: Split high-density tungsten weighting and a progressive dual-cavity construction together deliver tremendous stability, trajectory control and consistent carry distance.
Consistent speed and spin: A new Variable Face Thickness (VFT) design in the 3- through 7-iron maintains speed and launch on off-center strikes, while new, more aggressive
grooves in T100’s mid- to short-irons improve performance from the rough and wet conditions by adding consistency in spin control and helping to mitigate fliers.
Elevated long-iron launch: A new muscle channel design in T100’s 3- and 4-irons helps lower CG and increase launch and peak height. The muscle channel also helps to increase ball speed, which in turn helps facilitate proper gapping at the top end of the set.

T100's Tour-Inspired Lofts

New T100 irons are designed with one-degree stronger lofts (33-degree 7-iron) than the previous generation T100. This choice in the design process came after two separate requests from PGA TOUR and LPGA players. On the PGA TOUR, there was a common ask for a marginal increase in bounce for T100. On the LPGA, many players gravitated towards the smaller profile of T100 (compared to T150) but needed less loft for more distance. The now-current lofts of T100 are exceptionally playable for all golfers, but bending them weak (increasing bounce) or strong (increasing carry) satisfies a range of needs from the tour without compromise.

T150: THE FASTER PLAYER’S IRON

New T150 irons retain their positioning in the T-Series lineup as the faster player’s iron, delivering extraordinary feel, stability and control along with added speed and launch. T150's profile, slightly larger than that of T100, offers a clean and compact look at address.

T150 irons have been validated at the highest level of professional golf, with players on tour both opting to game T150 as the primary iron in a blended set, like Will Zalatoris, or at the top end of their bag to provide added launch, like Byeong-Hun An and Aldrich Potgieter.

Said Ines: “The constructions of T150 and T100 are very similar, and they share a lot of the same improvements, like the new progressive grooves and VFT design. But T150 has a slightly bigger body, stronger lofts and an improved muscle channel in the mid- to long-irons, which give the T150 player more speed and launch than they’d get with a T100.”

Performance and technology

Confidence-inspiring profile, forged design: The classic, player-preferred shape of new T150 is slightly larger than T100 for a more confidence-inspiring look at address. T150 is forged to deliver a pure feel at impact.
More speed, more launch: T150 irons feature one-degree stronger lofts than T100 and an improved muscle channel from 7-iron up, which lowers long-iron CG. The result is faster ball speeds and higher launch.
Superior flight and stability: CG location is optimized using split high-density tungsten weighting and a progressive dual-cavity construction, which delivers tremendous stability in a compact design.
Consistent speed and spin: A new VFT design improves speed and launch across the face, and T150 benefits from the same progressive groove design as T100, with steeper-walled grooves in the mid- to short-irons improving spin consistency across a range of playing conditions.

T250: THE REDEFINED PLAYER’S DISTANCE IRON

Undergoing a transformative redesign from its predecessor (T200) as well as a name change, new T250 irons deliver an exceptional combination of speed, launch and forgiveness along with a clean, sharp appearance from its new all-steel construction. Featuring a thicker topline and wider sole than T100 and T150 models, T250’s profile adds confidence at address without straying from the classic, player-preferred DNA found in the more compact models.

Said Ines: “The most obvious change in T250 is its looks, and that really started with our innovation team finding a way to leverage Max Impact technology within an all-steel construction. This allowed us to design all models in the lineup to have a really consistent look in the bag, which is especially important to golfers with blended sets.”

“Performance-wise, T250 is all about speed, but it’s consistent speed,” Ines continued. “We don't want ‘jumpers’ and we design to minimize them. The hollow-body construction of T250 allows us to utilize technology that drives ball speed and launch up while promoting stability and consistency across the face.” Since launching on tour, new T250 long irons and T250•U utilities have been popular options at the top end of blended sets. Justin Thomas added a T250 4-iron to his bag immediately at the Memorial Tournament, while Wyndham Clark added a T250 3- and 4-iron to the bag that same week.

A brand-new addition to the T-Series lineup, T250 Launch Spec provides the same technology and features the same construction as T250 but with a lighter headweight and added loft, promoting effortless launch, increased carry distance for low-flight players and more stopping power into the greens.

“T250 Launch Spec is a brand-new offering for us, and we’re really excited about it because it brings optimized T-Series performance to more golfers,” Ines said. “We saw there was opportunity in our lineup to fit the needs of the golfer who is maybe a moderate swing speed player that really needs launch and can’t achieve the 3 D’s without more help. T250 Launch Spec has all the player’s distance iron tech we leverage in T250, but the loft and headweight work to get the ball up faster and fly in a much higher window.”

T250 Launch Spec is designed for players looking to maximize launch and peak height. Its 7-iron has a loft of 35 degrees, 4.5 degrees weaker than the standard T250 7-iron (30.5), and its headweight is 6 grams lighter than that of T250.

T350: THE ULTIMATE GAME IMPROVEMENT IRON

Across the T-Series lineup, T350 gives golfers maximum levels of distance, forgiveness and speed. The T350’s appearance is brand new, as it too benefits from an all-steel construction like T250, giving the lineup a more uniform look across the board – especially in blended sets. Under the hood, T350 benefits from a number of technological advancements that drive performance for the player looking for a forgiving, long-hitting and high-launching iron.

Said Ines: “Compared to the rest of our T-Series models, the new T350 has the largest clubhead, it’s got the fastest face, and it has a deeper CG. This is really geared towards the player looking for all-out distance and stability. And then, like T250, we were able to create this high-performing hollow-body iron in an all-metal construction to make it look as good as anything in the lineup.”

T-SERIES ON TOUR

Titleist irons have been the longstanding top choice of the best players in the world. In each of the last 11 seasons – and 20 of the last 21 – more players on the PGA TOUR have had Titleist irons in their bags than any other brand. On the DP World Tour, Titleist has been the most played iron brand for 16 straight seasons and counting.

New T-Series irons made their global debut in May at the PGA TOUR’s Charles Schwab Challenge and the DP World Tour’s Soudal Open, with a total of 39 players across both sites choosing to put the new models in play immediately.

Two weeks later at the ShopRite LPGA Classic, LPGA players were introduced to new T-Series, and the tour seeding and validation process rolled on across the worldwide professional tours in the weeks that followed.

T-Series tour adoption highlights:

Among the first group of PGA TOUR players to game new T-Series irons at the Charles Schwab Challenge was Bud Cauley, who added new T250 3- and 4-irons to the top end of his set before finishing third, his best result of the season.
Justin Thomas immediately moved into a new T250 4-iron and new T100 5-iron at the Memorial, seeing added height and gaining consistency compared to his previous gamers. Wyndham Clark also added new T250 long irons (3-4) as well as new T100 6-9 irons.

Byeong-Hun An put new T150 4- and 5-irons, along with a new U•505 1-iron, in play at the RBC Canadian Open before recording a season-best T6 finish.
Tom Kim and J.T. Poston made wholesale changes to their iron setups at the U.S. Open Oakmont, with Kim moving to new T100 4-9 irons and J.T. Poston adding a new T150 4-iron and new T100 5-9 irons at the start of the week.

Russell Henley put a new T250 4-iron in the bag at the Travelers Championship, where he went on to finish T2.

After a visit to the Titleist Performance Center at Woburn, Aldrich Potgieter added new T150 4-5 irons and new T100 6-9 irons to his bag, having previously played T100 long irons and 620 MB blade short irons. He saw immediate results, winning in his first start with the new models at the Rocket Classic and crediting his improved approach play to the new setup. Potgieter’s victory marked the first worldwide win for new T-Series irons.

CUSTOM OPTIONS

Loft and lie angles can be altered by at least 2 degrees in both directions (strong/weak, flat/upright) via custom order on all new T-Series irons. Loft adjustments are in 1-degree increments, and lie adjustments are in half-degree increments.

Players can also configure their setup to be up to 2 inches longer than standard and 4 inches shorter than standard via custom order. Ladies build is 1 inch under standard, and junior build is 2 inches under standard. Length adjustments are in quarter-inch increments.

SUREFIT IRONS

Now used for Titleist iron fittings are all-new T-Series SureFit irons. The new design gives fitters the ability to adjust lie angle (2 degrees flat to 4 degrees upright, 1-degree increments), loft (2 degrees weak to 1 degree strong, 1-degree increments) and head weight (standard weight, -6 grams) on the fly and easier than ever before.

BLENDED SET OPTIMIZATION

Of the Titleist Brand Ambassadors currently playing on the PGA TOUR, approximately 80 percent are playing blended sets of at least two Titleist iron models, demonstrating the importance of custom fitting and optimization throughout the bag. With the goal of providing players proper distance gapping between clubs and sufficient green-holding ability throughout the bag, Titleist fitters look to find a setup that unlocks the following criteria:

Ball speed gaps: Golfers should see 5 mph gaps between clubs.
Peak height: Players should be able to maintain consistent peak height between long irons and the 7-iron.
Angles of descent: Long-iron landing angles should be no lower than that of the 7-iron.

Titleist Introduces New T250•U and U•505 Utility Irons

New utilities complete all-new T-Series iron lineup, delivering launch, speed and stability off the tee and into the green

Titleist rounds out the new T-Series iron lineup with the introduction of the all-new T250•U and next generation U•505 utility irons, designed to launch the ball higher with consistently fast ball speeds and maximum stability. While differentiated by shaping and performance characteristics, both new utilities leverage key technologies featured across the T-Series family to maximize performance on both tee shots and approach shots.

“Utilities occupy a very specific part of the bag for most players,” said Marni Ines, Titleist’s Director of Iron Development. “They may be distance clubs, but golfers still need them to go a precise number and fly in a specific window so that you can hit and hold greens on the golf course. Our focus is to design a lineup of utilities that launch the ball up in the air really high, fly consistently far and offer plenty of stability and forgiveness, which is exactly what new T250•U and U•505 utilities are built to do.”

The all-new T250•U utility is designed with the same construction and technologies as the all-new T250 irons and features the same shaping and loft progression. T250•U, the more compact utility compared to U•505, is available in 2-, 3- and 4-iron models.

Available in 1-, 2-, 3- and 4-iron models, new U•505 utilities offer a larger footprint and a slightly higher-launching design than T250•U. In addition to benefitting from all-new T-Series technology under the hood, the latest generation U•505 now features progressive shaping, with sole width decreasing and face height increasing progressively from the stronger-lofted models to the weaker-lofted models.

“The shape changes to the U•505 3- and 4-irons were among the most significant across the entire lineup,” Ines said. “The new profile really was inspired by the prior generation T350 prototype 3-iron that we brought out on tour. That 3-iron, which was more compact and taller than the previous U•505 3-iron but didn’t have as much offset as the standard T350, proved to be a preferred shape by a number of tour players. We decided to work that shape into the higher lofts of the U•505 while still retaining that familiar, wider-soled and shallow-faced U•505 shape in the lower lofts.”

Both models feature player-preferred profiles with minimal offset, allowing them to blend into the top end of a mixed setup seamlessly. They have slightly heavier headweights due to their lighter graphite shaft builds, and their tip section is a parallel bore to accommodate .370-inch diameter hybrid shafts.

New T250•U and U•505 utilities are available for fittings and pre-sale today and will arrive in golf shops beginning Thursday, August 21.

T•250 AND U•505 UTILITIES ON TOUR

Week in and week out, Titleist is the most played utility iron on the PGA TOUR, providing launch, speed and consistency to many of the game’s best ball-strikers. Through the U.S. Open, Titleist had accounted for 60% of the utility irons played on TOUR in 2025.

Brian Campbell Claims His Second PGA TOUR Victory at the John Deere Classic

Calm and collected under pressure, Brian Campbell (Pro V1x) prevailed in extra holes to win his second PGA TOUR title of the season – and his career.

Campbell, who also won in a playoff in February at the Mexico Open, flushed his 193-yard approach shot on his second trip around the par-4 18th, stopping his Pro V1x golf ball 16 feet from the hole to set up a stress-free, tournament-winning par.
For the week at TPC Deere Run, Campbell shot four rounds of 68 or better (65-66-68-67) to finish at 18 under.
His approach play all week was stellar, as he gained +5.655 shots on the field, ranking eighth.
He picked up an additional +2.873 strokes (11th) around the greens while ranking second in Scrambling, getting his Pro V1x up-and-down 12 of 14 attempts for par (86%).
The 32-year-old hit 75% fairways in regulation (11th) and 81% greens in regulation (5th) as well.

T3 FINISHER SECURES CAREER-BEST RESULT WITH NEW T-SERIES IRONS

Gaming a setup that includes his Pro V1 golf ball and a blended set of NEW T250 (4) and T100 (5-9) irons, the now 71st-ranked player in the FedExCup shot a bogey-free final round 65 to record a career-best T3 finish.
With the tournament hanging in the balance late on Sunday, the 35-year-old flushed his approach on the 72nd hole from 172 yards to inside six feet, setting up a must-have birdie that gave him the clubhouse lead at 17 under.
He eventually finished one shot outside the playoff.
NEW T-Series irons are a recent addition to his setup, as he first moved into the T250 4-iron and T100 5-9 irons at the RBC Canadian Open.
Since the move, he has recorded three straight top 20 finishes, each with positive Strokes Gained: Approach numbers:
- RBC Canadian Open: T18 finish | 13th SG: App (+4.151), T3 GIR (85%)
- Rocket Classic: T8 finish | 3rd SG: App (+7.579), T20 GIR (78%)
- John Deere Classic: T3 finish | 21st SG: App (+3.230)
Prior to making the move to NEW T-Series in Canada, he ranked 93rd in SG: Approach (-0.013 per round).
Since adding the irons to his setup, he has jumped 54 spots in the rankings, now ranking 39th in SG: Approach (+0.308).

DP WORLD TOUR | BMW International Open

Daniel Brown (NEW 2025 Pro V1) picked up his second career DP World Tour title with a two-shot win in Munich.

Brown went low over the weekend, posting a 7-under 65 on Saturday before a bogey-free 66 on Sunday saw him reach 22 under.
Over 72 holes at Golfclub München Eichenried, Brown put on a ball-striking display.
He led the field in Strokes Gained: Tee to Green, gaining over 13 shots on his competitors (+13.16).
He also finished first in GIR (83%) and Driving Accuracy (77%) while ranking second in Scrambling (10/12, 83%).
The 30-year-old Englishman rose 35 spots in the Race to Dubai rankings with the victory, up to No. 15.

The world’s No. 1-ranked amateur claimed her first career LET title in runaway fashion as she posted 21 under to win by six in Ireland.

Gaming his NEW 2025 Pro V1 golf ball, David Perkins broke through on the PGA TOUR Americas, winning his first career title this week in New Brunswick.

Perkins, who had a runner-up result in May at the Peru Open, turned in a clutch finish on Sunday, coming home with a bogey-free, 4-under 32 to reach 19 under and win by one.
The 27-year-old American finished T11 this week in GIR (59/72, 82%) and Scrambling (10/13, 77%).

New tour-inspired model offers GT1 fairway launch and stability with lower spin

Titleist announces the addition of the GT1 3TOUR fairway to the tour-proven GT metalwood lineup, rounding out its fairway offerings with an all-new, tour-inspired 3-wood setup. The new model, packaged in GT1’s shallow fairway profile, delivers high launch and stability, but a stronger loft – 14.5 degrees – and lower center of gravity from its multi-material construction drive down spin compared to GT1 fairways.

“Tour feedback is incredibly valuable, so we involve our players in testing for all products — even those that may be designed with a different player in mind,” said JJ Van Wezenbeeck, Titleist’s Senior Director of Club Promotions. “During GT1 fairway testing, we found some tour players really loved the shaping and face height, but we knew that many of them would need a little less loft and lower CG for a stronger flight. Tom Bennett [Principal Product Manager, Titleist Metalwood R&D] and the R&D team were able to give us a product in GT1 3TOUR that gave us all the benefits of the GT1 shaping while lowering spin to a more optimal window for those players. Since bringing it out on tour, we’ve seen strong adoption from several players who like a shallow, easy-to-launch design, but need a little less spin.”

This season on the PGA TOUR, GT1 3TOUR has been a mainstay in a number of player’s bags, including those of Titleist Brand Ambassadors Doug Ghim and Cameron Davis.

Aldrich Potgieter Leads Titleist Golf Ball Players to 12-Win Sunday Across Worldwide Tours

Calm and composed under playoff pressure, Titleist Brand Ambassador Aldrich Potgieter drained an 18-foot birdie putt on the fifth extra hole to capture his first TOUR victory at 20 years of age.

Potgieter, whose winning setup included his Titleist Pro V1x+ golf ball model, GT2 driver, NEW T250, T150 and T100 irons, Vokey SM10 wedges and Scotty Cameron putter, began the week with a fast start, as he carded a bogey-free 10-under 62 in Round 1 at Detroit Golf Club.
On Sunday, he delivered when the moment was biggest, tying the lead with a 71st-hole birdie before making three pars and two birdies in a marathon five-hole playoff to win.
Over 72 holes of regulation play, the 20-year-old – now the youngest South African to win on the PGA TOUR – gained 10.934 shots on the field from tee to green.
Over three and a half of those strokes came from his play off the tee (+3.710, 7th), while he gained over six strokes with his approach play (+6.072, 6th).
He gained an additional 1.152 strokes around the green and 1.790 strokes with the flatstick.
Including the playoff, Potgieter hit 86% greens in regulation (66/77), ranking 3rd in the field.
He also led the field in driving distance and birdies, converting 27 plus one eagle. He only dropped five shots all week long.

POTGIETER WINS WITH PRO V1x GOLF BALL MODEL

Aldrich Potgieter broke through on the PGA TOUR gaming his Pro V1x+ golf ball, a custom performance option (CPO) designed to finely tune flight, spin and feel.
Potgieter, a longtime Pro V1x player, recently made the move to the Pro V1x+ model after finding it helped him hit his preferred spin windows and peak heights with his irons.
Potgieter on why Pro V1x fits his game: “I grew up in the wind in Australia, so I needed to bring the ball flight down a lot.
And now where I'm playing in these firm surfaces with not a lot of wind, my flight has tended to be too low.
So we want that Pro V1x to spin up for me to help me around the greens and [with] those approach shots in.
So it's done the job to really get that high launch and spin to a front flag.”
Potgieter on the consistency of his Titleist golf ball: “I hit a 7-iron, just a stock 7-iron, I can almost put all five balls that I'm hitting very close just with spin numbers. And if you match those up with the right height, your distance, it's going to be the exact same. So it's nice to see everything match up. You're hitting the same distance, the same spin number, the same launch, everything's the same and the ball's just performing very consistent.”
Potgieter on how he marks his golf ball: “I usually just put a thin line on it. I like to match the line thickness to my putter line, just keeping it simple. But yeah, it's really simple, just a black line and then I put a black dot just next to whatever number I'm using.”
“I'll be using [the line] on basically every putt that I hit. If it's from 60 foot, 30 foot, I still have to pick my alignment spot and commit to that. And I feel when I have the line, I don't have to concentrate on that anymore. I just hit the speed that I want and hopefully the putt goes in.”
Late Sunday evening, Potgieter used his Scotty Cameron 009 tour prototype putter to drain an 18-foot birdie putt for the win, with the black line on his golf ball rolling perfectly end over end into the middle of the cup.

POTGIETER’S VISIT TO TITLEIST PERFORMANCE CENTER PAYS OFF; WINS WITH NEW T-SERIES IRONS

With over a month off between his last start at the Charles Schwab Challenge and this week’s Rocket Classic, Potgieter paid a visit to the Titleist Performance Center at Woburn for two days to dial in his equipment setup.
Titleist’s Director of Tour Promotions Liam MacDougall worked with Potgieter to make several tweaks to his bag, specifically targeting approach play and driving accuracy.
Potgieter left Woburn with wholesale changes to his iron setup, moving from a blended set of T100 and 620 MB irons (T100 4-5, 620 MB 6-9) to a blended set of NEW T150 and NEW T100 irons (T150 4-5, T100 6-9).
According to MacDougall, the changes to his iron setup gave Potgieter increased peak height and more spin from a variety of conditions, which translated to better control in his approach game.
Potgieter’s ball change also helped complement the tweaks made by the team to improve his iron play.
On Thursday, his first competitive round with the new irons, Potgieter led the field in Strokes Gained: Approach (+ 4.763) en route to a 10-under 62.
“Irons were a lot better. Got a new set in the bag so it was nice to see some results” said Potgieter after the round on Thursday. “We needed some more spin to keep the ball in the air a little bit. You wouldn't have thought that with the driving distance to add more spin, but it kind of keeps the ball in the air a little bit longer. When I hit that knuckle one, it kind of comes off a little hot. So through the year I've been long over the green a lot, so trying to take that spin off shot into the wind. Now it's a little bit easier that it has that bit of spin so I'm not thinking about it too much and I can just hit the shot now.”
A few days later, Potgieter closed out his first PGA TOUR win.
He finished the week 3rd in GIR (86%) and 6th in Strokes Gained: Approach (+6.072).
"It was nice to get the refresh, come back with new equipment, not overthinking too much stuff,” said Potgieter after winning. "It's nice to kind of see some results coming from the club fitting and having some time off to breathe a bit.”

POTGIETER WINS WITH GT2 DRIVER

At the top end of Potgieter's bag is his GT2 9.0° driver (A•1 SureFit setting, Fujikura Ventus Black 8 X shaft).
GT drivers first launched on the Korn Ferry Tour at last year’s Wichita Open, where Potgieter immediately moved into a GT3 model.
This year on the PGA TOUR, he has gamed both the GT3 model and his current GT2, which has been in the bag since early May.
“The GT has been probably the best driver I've ever played with just from mishits to everything lining up with consistency,” said Potgieter earlier this season. “It's just been really good. I've seen a lot of players that aren't sponsored... and I mean probably 90% that I've seen use the Titleist driver. So that tells you a lot about the club.”
So far in 2025, Potgieter leads the PGA TOUR in Driving Distance and Ball Speed, and he ranks 4th in Strokes Gained: Off the Tee.
This week, the 20-year-old continued his stellar driving, leading the field in Driving Distance and gaining over three and a half shots off the tee on the field (+3.710).
However impressive Potgieter’s season-long performance off the tee has been, MacDougall made a subtle tweak to Potgieter’s gamer during his recent visit to Woburn, adding weight to the clubhead.
According to MacDougall, the heavier setup gave Potgieter more stability and better clubface control, translating to improved driving accuracy.
Potgieter’s power and precision were on full display on the back nine Sunday, as he split the final six fairways in regulation from No. 12 to No. 18 with an average distance of 339 yards across the six tee shots.
He played that closing stretch in 2 under on his way to posting 22 under for the week and securing a spot in the playoff.

POTGIETER BRINGS FOUR VOKEY SM10 WEDGES TO WINNER’S CIRCLE

Another key change to Potgieter's bag setup from his last start was his wedge setup, another byproduct of his visit to the Titleist Performance Center.
Potgieter worked with Vokey Tour Rep Will Harvey to find ways to improve his wedge-play and Strokes Gained: Around the Green statistics.
For most of 2025, Potgieter had been playing a five-wedge setup to help with yardage gapping.
He was gaming an SM10 46.10F, 48.10F, 52.08F, 56.10S and either a WedgeWorks 60A or a 60.04T lob wedge.
This week, Potgieter made the move to a four-wedge matrix: Vokey Design SM10 46.10F, 50.12F, 54.10S, WedgeWorks 60K*.
The removal of the fifth wedge came after significant testing with Harvey.
The two precisely dialed in yardage gapping with his 46-degree pitching wedge and his 50-degree gap wedge, which saw an increase in bounce from eight degrees to 12.
Potgieter stayed in the S Grind for his sand wedge, which performed well on fairway shots, long bunker shots and greenside pitches and chips.
The biggest change to Potgieter’s grind setup was his lob wedge.
Previously, he had played thinner-soled low bounce wedges – either a WedgeWorks A Grind or a T Grind.
While Potgieter liked the versatility that these narrow, low bounce options provided, moving to the wider-soled WedgeWorks 60K* helped him improve performance out of the bunker and create more height greenside.
The K* Grind, which Potgieter took to the winner’s circle on Sunday, is one of the most popular lob wedge grinds on tour today.
The Rocket Classic runner-up also plays a 60K* lob wedge, as do players like Justin Thomas and Cameron Young.
The K* Grind was born out of player requests to modify the sole of the popular Low Bounce K Grind lob wedge.
Instead of the full, smooth sole of the K Grind, the sole of the K* Grind features a steeper pre-wear on the leading edge along with heel, toe and trailing edge relief.
The steeper pre-wear on K* adds forgiveness from the square-faced position, with a narrow ribbon of added bounce along the leading edge helping to resist excessive digging.
In an open-faced position, the heel, toe and trailing edge relief on K* allows the leading edge to sit closer to the ground, adding greenside versatility by helping the player slide under the ball easier.
And like all K Grind variations, K* has a wide sole that excels out of the bunker.
This week’s winner on the DP World Tour also gamed a 60K* wedge.

POTGIETER’S SCOTTY CAMERON 009M GAMER

On the greens, Potgieter's trusted flatstick is a Newport-style Scotty Cameron 009M tour prototype, which he used the roll in the winning birdie putt on the par-3 15th green in extra holes.
“It's been awesome. I never thought that was going to be a blade putter, but yeah, it's been really good,” said Potgieter on his gamer. “I just feel when I'm rolling the putt the best, this one works the best…just with consistency and I love the sound of it when I roll it.”
This week, Potgieter gained 1.79 strokes on the field on the greens and averaged 1.68 putts per GIR.

LPGA | Dow Championship

Titleist Brand Ambassador Jin Hee Im poured her NEW 2025 Pro V1 in the middle of the cup for birdie to earn a team victory in extra holes.

Im, who was gaming her GT3 driver and fairway, 620 CB irons, Vokey SM10 wedges and Scotty Cameron putter, made seven birdies on Sunday in carding a best-ball 8-under 62 and posting 20 under for the week.
When that total was matched, the two teams returned to the 18th hole for a playoff, where Im calmly rolled in the winning putt to capture her first career LPGA title.
Im’s team shot rounds of 67 and 68 in the tournament’s alternate shot format (Rounds 1 and 3) while posting a 63 and a 62 in the best ball rounds.

DP WORLD TOUR | Italian Open

Adrien Saddier (NEW 2025 Pro V1) stormed home with a back-nine 5-under 30 to capture his first career DP World Tour title.

Saddier, who closed in 66, posted 14 under for the week at Argentario GC to win by two shots.
The 33-year-old Frenchman made 20 birdies for the week and got his Pro V1 up-and-down for par in 20 of 26 attempts (77%, T5).
With his maiden victory, Saddier punched his ticket to The 153rd Open at Royal Portrush in two weeks’ time.

PGA TOUR CHAMPIONS | U.S. Senior Open Championship

Padraig Harrington (NEW 2025 Pro V1) closed in 3-under 67 to win his second career U.S. Senior Open and his 10th career PGA Tour Champions title.

Harrington was unflappable on the back nine, making one birdie and seven pars over his final eight holes to post 11 under and win by one shot over Stewart Cink (NEW 2025 Pro V1).
For the week at Broadmoor Golf Club, the Irishman made 20 birdies on his way to four rounds of 68 or better (67-67-68-67).
He ranked 2nd in Greens in Regulation (59/72, 82%) and 2nd in Scrambling (9/13, 69%).

LIV GOLF LEAGUE | LIV DALLAS

Gaming his Titleist Pro V1x golf ball model, GT3 driver, Vokey SM10 wedges and Scotty Cameron putter, the winner of LIV Dallas made birdie on the first playoff hole to claim the individual title.

The 2018 Masters champion was steady down the stretch, making nine straight pars on Maridoe Golf Club’s difficult back nine to post 6 under for the week.
On his second trip around the par-4 18th on Sunday, the champion stuck his approach and rolled in the 16-foot birdie putt for the win.

KORN FERRY TOUR | Memorial Health Championship

Having switched to his NEW 2025 Titleist Pro V1x golf ball at the start of the year, this week’s champion on the Korn Ferry Tour earned his second victory in three starts, posting 25 under for the week at Panther Creek Country Club.
The champion closed in 8-under 63, a bogey-free Sunday round that included six birdies and an eagle on the par-4 12th.
His 259 total (65-63-68-63) was good for a one-shot win.
He was in full control of his golf ball all week, ranking T4 in Greens in Regulation (61/72, 85%) and getting his Pro V1x up-and-down a perfect 11 times in 11 attempts.
The 31-year-old made the move to a Titleist golf ball for the first time in his pro career, starting this season on the KFT gaming his NEW 2025 Pro V1x.
He had teed up a competitive brand for the last six years on both the PGA TOUR and Korn Ferry Tour.
His first start, at the Bahamas Golf Classic, ended in a 4th-place finish, and he recorded 10 top 20 finishes in 2025 coming into this week.
The champion, now the first multiple-time KFT winner in 2025 having won the BMW Charity Pro-Am earlier this month, rises to the top of the season-long Points List with the win.
He is also now one victory away from an immediate promotion to the PGA TOUR.

KPGA | KPGA Gunsan CC Open

Seven days after breaking through with his first KPGA win, Taehoon Ok (NEW 2025 Pro V1) earned his second, shooting a final-round 68 to post 19 under and win by two.

Ok, who is now the first multiple-time winner on the KPGA in 2025, solidified his position atop the season-long Genesis Standings with the victory.
Titleist golf ball players finished 1-2-3-4 on Sunday’s final leaderboard.

NEW T-SERIES IRONS LAUNCH ON THE KPGA

All-new T-Series irons made their KPGA debut this week, as the global tour seeding and validation process continues for the next generation models.
Seventeen players made the immediate move and put new T-Series irons in play on Thursday.
Overall, Titleist was the most played iron at the Gunsan CC Open, with 64 players (44%) gaming a set of Titleist irons.

KLPGA | Mona Yongpyong Open with SBS Golf

Jiu Ko (NEW 2025 Pro V1) broke the KLPGA’s record for the lowest 54-hole score in tour history, posting a 23-under score of 193.

Ko won in wire-to-wire fashion with a five-shot margin of victory.
The win was the third KLPGA title of her career and her first win of the year.

CHINA TOUR | Passionate 15th National Games, Dynamic Sihui

Charles Wang (NEW 2025 Pro V1) closed in 10-under 62 to claim his maiden China Tour title by four shots.

Wang’s final round, which set a new course record at the Grand Lake Golf Club, was his fourth round of 68 or lower (68-67-65-62) and saw him reach 26 under for the week.
Each of the top four and nine of the top 11 finishers played a Pro V1 or /golf-balls/25-prov1 golf ball. They were among the 118 players this week to tee up a Titleist (86%), a total more than 13 times that of the nearest competitor.

JLPGA | Earth Mondahmin Cup

Shuri Sakuma (NEW 2025 Pro V1x) earned her third victory of the season, closing with a steady 2-under 70 to win by one shot at 11 under.

Sakuma made 17 birdies and an eagle over four rounds.
The only multiple-time champion this year on the JLGPA, Sakuma sits atop the season-long Mercedes Ranking.

LADIES EUROPEAN TOUR | Amundi German Masters

Shannon Tan (NEW 2025 Pro V1) earned her second career LET victory on Sunday, making a clutch par on the last to win by one.

Tan was dialed with her ball-striking, hitting all but four greens in regulation and four fairways in regulation through the first three days.
Sunday brought difficult, windy conditions, but Tan held steady, finishing at 9 under for the week and leading a 1-through-5 finish for Titleist golf ball players.

AMATEUR | North & South Amateur

Gaming his NEW 2025 Pro V1 golf ball and full bag of Titleist clubs, including his GT driver and fairway, T-Series irons, Vokey SM10 wedges and Scotty Cameron putter, the winner of the 125th North & South Amateur championship was victorious at Pinehurst No. 2 after 19 holes in the championship match.

Clutch down the stretch, the champion made birdie on the par-3 17th to draw even in the match before winning it on the first hole with another birdie.
The runner-up, also gaming 2025 Pro V1, has posted exceptional finishes in the summer’s first two Elite Amateur Golf Series events, having won the Sunnehanna Amateur two weeks earlier.
