Titleist continues its success story as the #1 golf ball at every level of the game topping the counts at the prestigious British Amateur, U.S. Amateur and British Boys Amateur Championships
Titleist golf ball history continues across all levels of the game with the world’s leading amateurs choosing to follow in the footsteps of Titleist golf ball professionals by trusting the #1 ball in golf. Titleist topped the golf ball counts at the British Amateur Championship, U.S. Amateur Championship and British Boys Amateur Championship respectively. The overwhelming majority of each field followed the example set by the world’s best players across professional tours, including Titleist Brand Ambassadors Adam Scott (Pro V1) and Jason Dufner (Pro V1), who both claimed their maiden Major Championships with Titleist in 2013.
At the British Amateur Championship held across Royal Cinque Ports and Princes’ Golf Club, Titleist topped the ball count with an impressive 234 players of the 288-player field trusting the performance excellence of the #1 ball in golf, compared to 35 for the nearest competitor. It was a similar story at the British Boys Championship, held across Royal Liverpool and Wallasey Golf Club last week, where 223 players of the 250 players competing opted for a Titleist golf ball, compared to 18 for the nearest competitor.
Across the Atlantic at the U.S. Amateur Championship, not only was Titleist the choice of the champion, but also dominated the golf ball count with 246 of the 312 players competing relying on the superior performance and quality of a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball, compared to 38 for the nearest competitor. This highlights the overwhelming acceptance of the Titleist golf ball at all levels of the game, with these impressive counts amongst the world’s best amateur golfers mirroring those found weekly across worldwide professional tours. This further supports Titleist’s impressive 2013 worldwide win count of 90, compared to 34 of the nearest competitor.
More players putting their trust in Titleist golf balls at the 2013 British Amateur and U.S. Amateur Championships, as well as the 2013 British Boys Championship continues the momentum Titleist has enjoyed around the world and across every level of the game in 2013. From Titleist Brand Ambassadors across worldwide professional tours to leading PGA club professionals and amateurs at every level of the game, serious golfers continue to trust the superior performance, quality and consistency of the #1 ball in golf.
