Hatton cruises to first European win at Alfred Dunhill Links

Titleist golf ball loyalist Tyrrell Hatton (Pro V1x) sealed his maiden European Tour title in style, carding seven final round birdies to cruise to a four-shot victory at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

“Yeah, I was quite nervous out there today,” said Hatton after the win. “I’ve got a little bit of experience with being out in the final group. I have none whatsoever of leading. That was a new experience today. It's a dream come true and to do it here is fantastic. Just happy I got over the line.”

Hatton fired a stunning Saturday 62 to equal the course record at the Old Course at St. Andrews and closed with a 6-under-par 66 en route to a 23-under-par 265 victory total.

“It feels amazing," Hatton said. "I've wanted this moment since I was a 6-year-old walking around Wentworth. My dad took me to Wentworth. I have to say a big thank you to him. He's been coaching since I was 11 years old. Without him, this wouldn't have been possible. It's very special to share that with him.”

With the win, Hatton was also able to check another goal off his list:

"One of my goals was to get inside the Top-50 in the world," Hatton revealed yesterday. "I think I was 53rd coming into this week, and my manager, John, he sends me a message every morning, every Monday morning, when the World Rankings come out of what position I am. So I look forward to that text tomorrow, and hopefully I can have a great end to the year and try and climb even higher."

As of this morning's update to the Official World Golf Rankings, Hatton currently sits at No. 33 in the world rankings.
