The TOUR has travelled from one coast to the other this week and landed in Palm Beach Gardens for The Honda Classic. Highlighted by the infamous trio of holes known as the Bear Trap, the Champion course at PGA National is known as one of the toughest tracks on Tour and is sure to present a stern test to players as they look to top the leaderboard.
And when it comes to standing atop the leaderboard, Titleist is once again the overwhelming golf ball choice with a total of 97 players trusting a Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball for their success. That’s more than five times the nearest competitor with 19 and more than all competitors combined.
Titleist is also the top choice of players in the irons (39) category and Vokey Design Wedges topped the approach, sand and lob wedge (165) category. Scotty Cameron putters were the top choice in the putter (56) category.

- Titleist Brand Ambassador Adam Scott captured the 2016 Honda Classic title, marking his 12th career PGA TOUR victory. Scott then went on to win the very next week at the WGC event to become the first player to win back-to-back weeks on the PGA TOUR since Titleist golf ball loyalist Billy Horschel (Pro V1x) won the 2014 BMW Championship and TOUR Championship.
- PGA National continues to rank among the toughest layouts on TOUR. In 2016, the par-70 Champion Course ranked as the second-toughest course on TOUR outside of the majors, with a scoring average of 71.768. Only the par-72 Torrey Pines South Course (Farmers Insurance Open) ranked tougher, with an average of 74.498.
- From 2007-2016, the “Bear Trap” (Nos. 15-17) ranked as the third-toughest, three-hole stretch on the PGA TOUR of courses that have been played in each of the last 10 years. The field has played that stretch of holes in a combined 2.781 strokes over par since 2007.

Titleist golf ball loyalist Rickie Fowler finished the second round with a 4-under-par 66. Take a look at the PGA Tour's Instagram post of him closing out The Bear Trap.
And a very happy birthday to Titleist golf ball loyalist and 2015 Open Championship victor Zach Johnson! Zach celebrated his birthday on Friday.
