    Hello Team Titleist,

I have a trip to Japan in September in which I will be in Tokyo, Kyoto and a few other places. I know that the Japanese golf market is huge and they often get things that we never get in the states.

My question for you all is are there any products or merchandise I should try and find while I am visiting Japan.

    Thanks!

If you go to www.titleist.co.jp and your web browser has a translate option (I use google chrome) you can explore the current offerings so you know what to look for. I have a ball pouch, tee pouch and multi-pouch which were about the only things I could afford. Have a safe trip!

Thanks for the info! A few items on there have caught my eye so I hope I can track them down.

Speaking strictly titleist, check out the Scotty Cameron circle J shop. I believe it is in Hamamatsu. I didn't get a chance to go there while I was there but maybe you'll have luck. Additionally there are two golf shops in Tokyo, I forget the name. But they are pretty big considering they are 5 floors. Other shop you can check out is victoria golf. They're all over the place. You're easiest to find japanese titleist product will be a Japanese market titleist bag. I have ordered two online, cost me a bit. But one is a limited edition 2015 caddy stand bag. I use that on occasion with my push cart. Very slick and absolutely one of a kind.

So if you're looking for something no one on this side of the pond has, I'd bring a cheap or old golf bag to throw away and replace with a new golf bag only sold in the Japanese market. Shipping will cost you an arm and a leg, but Japanese EMS shipping is pretty expedient. Other option would be to search for stuff on rakuten and then go see it in person while you're in Japan and then order it online so it'll be shipped straight to you. Just be cognizant of the weight. The chart is on their site.

Also, if you speak enough Japanese to get around town, you might be able to find the small select shops that deal in local JDM (Japanese domestic market) club makers, such as seven. TSG has some rare stuff you absolutely cannot find easily unless you can travers Japan pretty well.

Oh and before you go, check out the Japan Railway passport for visitors. You can get unlimited passage on almost all tracks for 7-14 days. It's a great way to see Japan, play golf in different parts of mainland Japan, and will save you so much money on travel costs because you'll be riding the bullet train everywhere. So many different trains to ride as well!

Have fun! It'll be great out there regardless. Oh and be prepared to be pampered without requiring tip. Their courses are quite nice and well kept in most areas. Expect to pay around $70+ per round on weekdays and more on weekends. Unless you already have your golf trip planned out.
