I have previously been customer fitted for a 910FD with a Kai'li  75 Stif shaft. Is it a reasonable assumption that this shaft would work well for me in a driver?

I've got an opportunity to pick up a 910D2 at a great price and am trying to avoid a fitting fee for a session at The Belfry

    Hi Mark,

I have spoken to a couple of our fitters and they were of the same opinion as me - the fact that you were fitted for one shaft in the fairway could mean that it will be suitable for a driver, but it may not! Without someone seeing your swing and ball flight it is impossible to make a recommendation.

It could be that the characteristics that made the Kai'li suitable for your fairway wood are not suitable for the flight / shape you are trying to get from your driver. Add to that the loft considerations of the club head itself and you can see why we would always recommend a fitting.

Sorry there isn't a simple answer to your question.
