Hey everyone, just got fitted at Club Champion for my new 718 AP2's, been playing the 714 AP2's since 2014 and loved them just felt it was time to upgrade. I am considering pulling the trigger on a new bag and was curious of anyone that has an opinion on the Players 14 vs the Staff Stand or the Players 4 Stand Bag. I have never had a 14 way divided bag and it plays to my OCD but may also distract me. I am used to a 4 way divided bag, but love the idea of more pockets. I don't carry my clubs, so the extra weight will not matter to me, but at the practice tee the stand makes life very convenient. One question I have for the team, is the 14 bag divided all the way down, top to bottom? Let me know your likes and dislikes about that bag and help me decide. I appreciate the conversation!

Nice thing about the Players 14 bag is you won't be that guy that shows up to play with 20-something clubs hanging out the top while playing to a 30 handicap. Seen him out there way too often. I like the Player 4 because i walk a lot. It doesn't have a lot of extra pocket space so if you never walk, go with one of the other ones.

I tried the Staff Stand Bag a couple of years ago and it just didn't work as a cart bag for me. one reason was my Scotty Cameron would fall slip below the top of the bag when i put i it without the headcover. I switched to the midsize staff bag and have been ver happy with it since. I also had a deluxe cart bag that had the 14 way top and never had a problem, it was just time to change it out.

Thanks for the replies, Michael O's response just reminded me of something, having a Scotty Cameron, how does it sit in the Player 14 bag? Even in my current 4 way bag, the cover head would sometimes works it's way off unless I tucked it in the slot with my driver and three wood. I am rather OCD and the putter cover and head covers for my driver and three wood go back on after every use. I would be worried about it working its off. I use a 33.5 inch putter by the way, so I am pretty sure it will be supporting the weight of the head on the cover since the bag will more than likely be longer than the putter.

Putter could be a problem. I use a 33" and it sits pretty deep into the lower opening of my Players 4 bag. Also, i use a SuperStroke grip. Anything much oversized might not go into the bag. Might want to take your putter with you when you go shopping for your bag.

I have the 14 and I really like it. My regular putter is a 34" Golo and it sits flat, so it's not a problem. My 33 1/2" Newport 2.5 will get stuck a bit at times.
