I tried the new Tour Soft at the suggestion of the pros at the course where I play. The head pro had travelled to play in a tournament with some members and took the ball over. They told me to give it try. I was very surprised. I would not have expected the spin and distance combination that I saw. The feel is also very good. I just bought a sleeve so it is early, but it was really good.

Steve, as designed. Think a lot of folks will be surprised how well this ball performs. In particular those who have been playing the Chrome Soft. Titleist has a ball designed for everyone, thru extensive R&D.

I normally play the PV1X but found a tour soft on the course the other day, I actually really liked the overall feel. I thought it was heavier in hand but think this made it quite responsive off the club face. I am going to pick up a dozen and put them head to head with my normal gamer.

DC: In response to comment of the ball feeling heavier.

Tour Soft golf balls are designed with the largest Titleist core ever, producing:

    Responsive feel
High ball speed for commanding distance

And Chuck Z right on time as always! Guess this makes perfect sense my experience.

I see a head to head test in my near future.

Love this ball, have played since January. My V1s actually feel hard compared to these. I read the compression is 60, vs 70/80 for the NXT Tour twins and 90 for the V1. Ive only played “found” Chrome balls, and prefer the Tour Soft to those. I’m sure a lot of it is mental, I just feel more confident knowing I’m hitting a Titleist.
  7. The tour soft is a great addition to the Titleist golf balls. It has good distance and soft around the green. I will continue to play with them.

I'm a 5-6 handicap, and I've been playing the Tour Soft for the last two weeks. I've been blown away! Certainly the best two-piece ball I've ever seen, and it's probably the best value for A or B players that's available. More than an adequate replacement for NXT Tour. Obviously; it's meant to compete with the Chrome Soft (that I like), but can be obtained for $10/dozen less. My experience so far is that it's as long as a Pro V1 off the driver, and has amazing stopping power on approach shots to the green. I don't think it has quite the feel for chip shots around the green as a Pro V1/Pro V1x, but it's not bad. Let's just keep this one our secret, OK?
  9. How does this ball compare to the DT Soft and NXT models?
  10. Can you tell me when they will have a ball fitting in port st Lucie gloves I play the pro v1 but would like to try tour soft
  11. Hi Steve,
I took the hook and bought a box of the new ball that Titleist advertises the Tour Soft competes with the Chrome Soft. Long off the tee and holds the green well with proper trajectory. That is where it ends. Zero check with short chips. Ball also explodes off the putter face which is not good when your on greens running 10 or higher. Very hard to judge the speed. Not the ball for my game but hope it works well for You.
