Hey guys I was I wondering if anyway had any suggestions on which ball I should be using. Currently I use the velocity mostly because of the price and I like the visibility aspect. But now that I’m getting better I want to start using a ball with a little more spin/workability and I have decent swing/ball speed so I don’t really need something with extreme distance. Maybe the AVX? Pro V1 are still to pricey for me.Thanks!

AVX and Pro-V's are the same price. Tour Soft is worth trying.

Give the Tour Soft a try. If there is a Titleist ball fitting in your area I would recommend going to it. The cost of a golf ball should not dictate your golf game. If it does you could be short changing yourself. If you want to try different balls which is a good idea, purchase a sleeve and give it a go. Go play it and see which suits you game and feel. The AVX, Prov1 and Prov1x are the premium balls and the later two are used primarily by lower handicappers with great control and spin. The AVX is the longer of the three with less spin and a soft ball. If you cannot find a fitter start with the Tour Soft and then move to the Provs. You did say what your handicap is.

Scott. AVX is the same price as the ProV1 and ProV1x. If you are still wanting something in a lower price range but performance closer to a ProV1, try the Tour Soft. It replaced the old NXT.

    Scott,
If you are concerned about price the Toursoft would be a ball you might consider. It has a softer feel than the Velocity and has great control around the greens. The AVX & Pro V1 are around the same price the Toursoft is a bit cheaper. I would suggest buying a sleeve of them & doing a on course comparison with the Velocity & maybe the AVX and see which performs for you the best.

    Good Luck
  6. I like the TruSoft and TourSoft! The spin rate is insane and are very workable around greens. If you don’t like those the the NXT Tour S or DT SoLo the hav a little more distance with only a little less spin

I would suggest that you try a few different balls to see what suits your game. Potentially play a couple of rounds with one and so on. There is a reason why the ProV1 and ProV1X are so popular. However, try the Tour Soft first. Without playing a few rounds it's really hard to determine which ball is for u. Enjoy the process!! Good luck!!

The Tour Soft is a good ball (comes in yellow). Here in Canada the AVX is the same price as the ProV’s.

The Pro V1, V1x & AVX are all great balls that work well for all players, but they are higher on the price point scale. Two other balls you might consider are the Tour Soft and the DT TruSoft. Both play fairly long and also offer great green side control and both are priced lower than the premium balls with the DT TruSoft having the lowest price point. Maybe try a sleeve of both and see how they perform for you.

Thanks guys! I guess there isn’t a one ball fits all. I’m going to try a sleeve of the tour soft and dt trusoft and see how they work. Thanks for the input. I think I might get a sleeve of the Pro V1s too, just to see if it improves my game at all.
