Just got the 915D2 with the Fugikura 757 Speeder TS. Wondering if other TT members with similar shaft have recommendation on fairway shafts for 915F? I know best answer is get a fitting but looking for others experience. Thanks.

    Hi Dave,

I have similar shafts in my Driver, 3 metal and hybrid. I have the AD-DI in the Driver, AD-DI in the hybrid, and the AD-BB in the 3 metal. I like to think they are all similar and at least for me, they provide the same feedback after each shot.

I would recommend trying out a few, and if you have the ability to get properly fit by an expert, a Titleist professional fitter, I would highly recommend that route. Nothing better than seeing all of the stats associated with your swing with whatever shaft you are trying to dial in.

Best of luck and let us know how it goes!

When I was playing the 910 driver and 3wood I played the same shafts (Matrix Ozik Xcon) in both only difference was the weights (xcon 6 in driver and xcon 7 in 3 wood). You are correct about the best answer being a fitting. However, I think it also depends on what you are looking for and how you use the fw wood (off the tee mostly then I would suggest the same shaft).
  4. I would do the same shaft, I have this driver shaft and it is an excellent choice.
  5. It depends on the ball flight. I have a Matrix Ozik 70m4 black tie tour spec xstiff because I hit the ball high so this lowers it, but with my fairway wood I tend to hit them lower so I actually have a 65Q4 matrix Ozik red tie in that one because it offers a mid launch

    Bragg Creek,

What do you want your fairway shaft to do? The Titleist custom shaft graph under the custom options is a great place to start. It categorizes shaft by ball flight and spin. My 3 wood shaft is geared to perform quite differently from my driver shaft for the reason that I want options off the tee, not necessarily the "same only shorter" thinking.

I had my 915D2 fitted & my Titleist rep recommended keeping the shafts aligned with one another for my hybrid & fairway so we checked them with others and ended up doing that. I have the Diamana Blue Board 60 Regular in both 915D2 & 915F. I have the equal Diamana 70 Blue board reg. in my 816H1. But yes you should get fitted for those as well.

Thanks Guys. My concern was mainly around that the Fugikura is not offered in stock shaft from Titleist for the fairway or hybrids. Looks like the Diamana whiteboard might be closest in launch and spin performance.
