  1. Hey guys and gals,

So I'm looking to pick up some 818H1 hybrids. My set of irons are 718 AP2, 5-gap, where the 5 iron is 27*, my 915H hybrids are 21* and 24* both set at C1 (loft/lie -.75*, most fade).

So I know for sure I want a 21*, but not sure whether to go 23* and make it 1* stronger, or 25* weakened 1*. I'm leaning towards 25*. Also going with the Tensei White 90s. Just wish I could demo these where I live unfortunately not able to.

So any AP2 users with 5 iron as longest iron, and using 2 818H1 hybrids? What's your setup with them?

  2. Hi Ryan,

I don't quite fit that description but what I do have is 5-PW in 716 AP2, 4 iron is a 716 AP1 bent 1 degree weak, and an 816 H1 19 degree hybrid. This year I intend to swap the AP1 4 iron for an AP3 4 iron with standard loft. I am pretty happy with the current setup and suspect I'll be ever happier after the swap. Best of luck picking your 818's.

Thanks for reply. I was playing the 716 AP2's just a great set of irons!
I realize it's a tough question because 1) everyone sets their bag up different. 2) the 818 has so many loft options vs previous models

Everyone's gapping is so different, prime example your setup vs mine, while having the same AP2 iron setup, our long iron/hybrid setup is so different.

But again thanks for the response, it's truly appreciated.
  4. For me the 23 degree hybrid was the replacement for my four iron. A bit longer, a bit higher, but close to a four iron. Past that I play a 19 degree hybrid. I think of the two as serving the purposes of the 2, 3 and 4 irons that I once carried, just more easily.
