    Hi Team Titleist!

I received a notification today that two years ago to the day, I was playing golf at Wannamoisett Country Club with some of my fellow Titleist peers. The weather didn't cooperate for us this year to play another course in the area, but I certainly would love to make this a holiday tradition to play golf the week of Thanksgiving.

I'd like to know, what are you Thanksgiving holiday weekend golf traditions? Or what's a tradition that you'd like to begin?

Have a wonderful holiday and we'll see you next week!

    Best,

We've been in San Diego for 3 years and usually go back to TX and play with my old gang. This year I am staying here and walking the front nine after my big Thanksgiving lunch. After all, the forecast is for 90+ temps the next several days. Hopefully by Sunday i will have burned off a few calories.
  3. My new tradition would like to play somewhere really warm. Living in NW Ohio, you never know what the weather will be like this time of year. Happy holidays to you Abby and everyone at TT!!! Hope you can get out also ️️

Weather in St Louis is cold today (Wednesday) but trending upward for the weekend. Have a 10:30 tee time on Friday with three buddies of mine and we are looking forward to playing in spring-like weather (forecast high of 66).

Happy Thanksgiving to all TT members!

  6. Played a round of golf with my son today (Wednesday), low 50's with 15 mph winds here in North Central VA and planning to get out on Friday with hopefully warmer temperatures . Not bad for late November around the NOVA area.

Abby, I thought I started a Golf tradition last Thanksgiving with my daughters fiance/future son in-law. We golfed 18 in the morning at Cutter Creek here in eastern NC. It was great. That day we talked about how this would be our Thanksgiving tradition for years to come. They broke up 2 weeks later. Boom.....no golf tradition. My wife said I took it harder than anyone in the family.

Live in NJ - have played the day after Thanksgiving every year for the last 31 years. A few years we had 70 degree weather and on a few it was in the 20s - average is 50 (which we will have for this year). It close out the golf season for me - always a small Drambuie for the group on the 10th tee

I live in the Coachella Valley of California not too far from Palm Springs. This is the best time of the year to golf here. The weather is spectacular and the crowds are still down until after New years. I have golfed the past two days so have room for Thanksgiving dinner. I will not golf tomorrow but be back at it on Saturday.

I play each year on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. In more recent years, instead of playing as a single, my son comes with me. This year, we're playing on Black Friday as well, so I certainly can't complain. The weather here is in the 50s and 60s, so it's still good enough.

Will be spending time today with wife and little girl (Katie) dachshund. Katie likes football and golf. Do like to shop and watch college football on the weekend. Also time to decorate the house and yard for Christmas. Being retired I can play as much golf as I like living on the coast of SC. Charleston is beautiful this time of the year, great time to play golf, and the weather person says rain on Friday. Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. For those who have to work, I'm sorry. Been there, done that.

I cannot say I have a tradition. I do have a tee time Friday a.m. with friends and will play with my usual Saturday morning group. Both followed by college football. I hope this is the start of a new tradition!
  15. My favorite traditions for Thanksgiving have always been my Grandmothers chocolate pie after the feat and tossing a football around with one of my favorite uncles. Sadly we lost him last year, but I thought I would share my birthday present with you all. My sister penned birthday wishes to me and a wish for him on a missile that was sent into space. Happy Thanksgiving to all and safe travels for those away from home.

  16. Abby, My Thanksgiving traditions include a 10:00 am high school football game and nine holes with my Dad at Norton Country Club (not far from Wannamoisett in Norton, MA). Fond memories for sure.

I would like to start an annual trip down to Bandon and play 3 or 4 courses the day after Thanksgiving dinner!
  20. Haven’t done this in many years, but for 3 years straight, my family of four(2 young boys) spent our Thanksgiving at The Carolina at Pinehurst Resort. Everything there is class & elegance with outstanding food. Playing golf can be a crap shoot as I have started the off with an air temp of 36 degrees before.
  21. Playing CrossCreek in Temecula,CA. tomorrow. The Golf Club of California in Fallbrook Saturday and Sunday.

    Happy Thanksgiving to TT players.
