I get about 5 more yards with ProV1x or Pro V1 . The Truth is I get about 10 more yards with Penta. Don't know if I should say this but my opinion Penta TP is the best ball on the market

I would recommend not changing balls between your practice rounds and your tournament rounds. Play the same ball and you will understand its characteristics within your game. You really cannot go wrong with either ball, but you should go to the golf balls tab on this site and select the Golf Ball Fitting option. Work your way through it and that will give you your best indication of what Titleist recommends.

get some NXT balls for practice rounds and some PROV1X for your competitive rounds. Will save you in the wallet, and the NXT is a dang good ball for a much lower price that PRO V balls. Both are made by the best, but even us old guys still save some coin and use NXT now and then.

I think you are on the right trac, I would suggest the NXT-Tour. The ball is fantastic, its plays like the ProV1x, has a similar dimple patter and half the price ! Good Luck,!
