I'm fairly sure that it's random, although other TT members have commented that the more you post, the better your chances of being selected. I also believe having your TT profile fully completed helps.

Nate, Officially I do not know how to increase your odds on being chosen. There was an email that went out earlier this year asking if you might be interested. I was chosen as was a friend of mine that signed up for TT this year.

I do know that two years ago, after I was chosen, the discussion board lit up with this same question. It was suggested that the more you are on the website and join in with discussions the better chance you have to receive the prototype balls. I also enter my scores and other information about shots when I play golf. I believe that the more interaction we have with Titleist, the more it helps. I have tried to give them the best information I could about the balls vs the other balls in my bag and ones that I find.

So my suggestion would be to join in on the discussions, log into the website weekly and make sure your profile is complete! If they do not have your complete address or other information, that might leave you out of the opportunity to participate next year!
