Too hard for me. Prefer a little more control. Love the Titleist brand, but am a Prov1 player.

Love the tumbler, not a Velocity van. I wish they offered the tumbler by itself.

I thought about buying the Velocity doz. just to get the tumbler. I mean really, who are we kidding? We're mostly Titleist fanatics here. We'd buy just about anything that has the Titleist script on it, and pay twice what it's worth. I know I would. I admit it. The tumbler alone, without the balls, is almost a no-brainer at the price of a Velocity doz.

Every course/shop is closed by me in NJ due to the virus. Would love to get my hands on a tumbler. Need something new to drink my coffee out of :)

I picked up some Velocitiys just to get the cup. I must say that I was surprised by the ball. I usually play the ProV1x, but for the price, it was a pretty good ball.

Hopefully this promotion comes to the UK and we can purchase them.

I'd happily tee a Velocity up to see how it does in terms of distance and control compared to Pro V1/AVX whilst sipping coffee from the matching tumbler
  16. I agree that this year's Velocity (unlike previous versions) is quite acceptable to play. The older Velocity models were low-flying, no-spinning, hard-to-control and just not fun to play. The 2020 version is not a ProV1x by any stretch but compared to AVX, which I have played a fair bit, the Velocity isn't miles different for my game.

Plus I dig the bright matte orange color, extremely visible in the air and on the ground. Quite remarkable, actually. Still like ProV1x better than any other ball, though.
  17. I was playing at Savannah Quarters in Savannah, Georgia a couple of weeks ago and saw the tumbler in the pro shop on display with Pro Vs I was told by a staff member that I had to buy two dozen Pro Vs to get the tumbler. I told them I did not need the Pro Vs as I have a couple dozen and mine are personalized. After a few minutes, the shop staff said he would sell me the tumbler directly. After seeing this thread, I realize I over-paid for the tumbler, buy hey....it is a Titleist tumbler. Not like I could get my hands on one any day of the week. In hindsight, I would have rather purchased the Velocity dozen and given them to a junior golfer, but that was not presented as an option to me at the time.

Did the tumbler you saw have orange lettering like the one in the pics above? As far as I know, that promotion only applied to Velocity balls. Not Pro Vs. Either I'm wrong (which is entirely possible) or there's a pro shop in Georgia using the tumbler incentive in order to sell the more expensive-priced and higher-margined Pro Vs. Either they are smart or they are doing something which was not intended by Titleist when they came up with the plan. But, like I said, maybe I'm missing something or wrong in my assumption. I'd be curious to hear one way or another.
  19. It is the same tumbler with the orange writing.

Even if it is, i would hand wash mine if i had one, just to make sure it stayed looking good for as long as possible.
