I am an accomplished 15 year old junior golfer. I have been plying golf since I was three and competing since I was six.

My rank in njgs.com (National Junior Golf Scoreboard) is 300 overall, and 13th for my graduation year (2013).

My rank for Golfweek.com is 150 overall and 8th for my graduation year.

I recently qualified for the U.S. Junior Am in Ada, Michigan and I was wondering if I am able to recieve clubs from titleist.

Is there anyone I could email or talk to about this? Or is there guidelines that I need to follow to obtain clubs?

If so please respond and let me know. Thank you.

I beleive that companies may not allow to give full club sponsorships to a junior, but I do beleive that if you or me as a junior are playing well then a titleist rep. or someone may give you a special offer to visit and have like a free fitted set of clubs. Good Luck with your golf and hope this helped at all.

Receiving a free set of clubs for an amateur? Might recommend him talking to his high school golf coach. Much better advice. They will steer him in the right direction. If he is playing at that level he must be competing at high school level.

Thomas, Congratulations on your early golf success. I, too have competed as a junior and Div II collegiate player several years back. In my adult life I have coached High School teams/players and would like you to carefully reconsider your question and resulting options. While early success in this great game is to be celebrated, it would not be wise to pursue corporate sponsorship unless you plan on turning professional in the immediate future. If you were to accept cash, equipment, or other benefits as a result of sponsorship or endorsement of a company, you could sacrifice your amateur status. The repercussions to a 15 year old that is as good as you state you are would be profound. Your future in NJGS and NCAA eligibility would be compromised. Many High School and Collegiate programs have accounts with Titleist that allows talented youth to access Titleist equipment at SIGNIFICANT discounts compared to retail.  Do you have a Titleist professional? Do you know the Titleist representative in your area? Does your High School Coach have an account with Titleist? In my opinion, these resources would be a much safer option for someone in your situation. While I can't state for sure what the programs available today offer, I will give you examples of what I took advantage of in the early to mid 1990's. Titleist makes a quality product that I have been proud to play for 20+ years. No, I don't work for Titleist and am not sponsored by them. However, their support of young players has made me a loyal customer to the brand. My example: Titleist 962B- Retail price was roughly $1100.00 with sensicore shaft; My price through my college coach was $225. I have upgraded over the years....DCI, 962, 770 cb, 690mb, and now the AP2. I hope the above information is helpful, and best of luck to you the remainder of your competitive career.

  6. Hello Titleist.

I am 14 years old. my hand cap is +1. Although I am Korean, I am attending and training in Queensland, Australia. I also won a junior competition and i made a lot in second place. I have different characteristics from others. These are the words of the coaches I met. I have the technology to know how to turn shortcomings into advantages in a short time. My favorite and most confident golf club is putter. Because the process of putting when the ball into the hole cup it makes me happy. The goal for this year is to make all golf shots sophisticated and accurate. Thank you. I really want to be a player on the team title list.

Sorry TJ and others responding to this old post. Titleist representatives do not provide amateur sponsorships here nor would they be likely to use this forum for anything else like that. Everyone is welcome to join Team Titleist as an enthusiast like me and others but we have no direct relationship with Titleist other than loving their products and participating in their events. That participation may occasionally result in a few minor gifts or testing opportunities but that is all. Any other relationship to these type of companies would be something you might establish via a local club pro that has a relationship with a regional rep. and could also cause problems with NCAA guidelines if you were to play college golf. We would love to have you as a participant on the forum and best wishes as you progress with your golf.

Anybody can join Team Titleist. We are a group of Titleist loyalists that support Titleist thru our purchases and our loyalty to their products. We are on here to answer questions regarding our experiences with their products. On occasions we get together and play golf and share our ideas. Most of us have handicaps and play in local events as well. Welcome to Team Titleist, your input will be appreciated from the eyes of a junior golfer. =)

Team Titleist is a user’s group of Titleist equipment enthusiasts. Completing a profile is “the price of admission “. Handicaps range from scratch to 30, and ages from juniors to grandparents in their 70’s. No offense if there are those 80 years or above.
Enjoy the game - it is a game we cannot win but great fun in trying. Seek advice to advance your game. Good luck in succeeding at more steps as you get older.

Hey KK. Glad you are enjoying your Titleist clubs. See the link below for Titleist's position on sponsorship which is limited to professional players due to amateur and college sports regulations.
