A couple of heads flew off of them. I took them to Golf Galaxy for repair. They called and asked for a serial # off the 6 iron. Much to my dismay, no such number appeared on the hosel of the 6 iron. Is it possible that some sets of AP3’s don’t have serial #’s? Or am I a “knock off” recipient. Thanks in advance for any help.

Based on some of the reviews comparing frauds to authentic clubs, even a $300 driver has more profit than the authentic.

RE: counterfeit or real AP3's?

Just went to the pro shop and they are confident its the real deal. apparently the knock offs have some obvious differences and these are identical luckily. Retailer like 2nd Swing and 3Balls provide a guarantee of authenticity. Individuals with low sales should be able to supply a bill of sale. Individuals with high sales more like unlicensed retailers, and if the product is being shipped from overseas - that one has all the whistles, lights, and bells going off - 100% knock-off.

You can check the serial number with Titleist customer service (OEM's are always fighting back) but even that can just be 1 set of a thousand with a copied serial number. Titleist can let you know where that serial number was shipped.

I either donate clubs to First Tee or sell directly to PGA Used Clubs or similar. I've tried selling on e-Bay and too often it's like a yard sale with someone trying to beat down the price or returning it if not like brand new even if you list as having normal wear. Hence, I don't buy on e-Bay, either (well, inexpensive head covers).

RE: counterfeit or real AP3's?

There should be a serial number on the 6 iron that can be used to certify them.
