Best tip I’ve been given in a long time, I have been missing greens to the right all season, took this tip to the course and hit every green I fired at! Can’t wait to get back out there.

Hi BFoley,

To your question about implementing something like this in your putting:

It works pretty much the same way, the big difference is in where the handle "sits" within your hand - specifically, the lead hand. I recommend that the thumb pads rest on the flat surface on the top of the grip. This is both the thumb pad found at the fingertip, as well as the big muscle at the base of the thumb. It is not recommended to get the big "heel pad" muscle up onto the flat surface on the top of the grip. Moving the lead hand into this position will relieve a great deal of tension in the forearms and generally results in better release of the putter head, improving start line and speed control on the greens.

Thank you for the tip Ben! Tried the this method of putting my hands on my grips and it worked like a dream. No question about the club face being square shots improved on all clubs. Again thanks for such a simple method to insure the club face is square

Ben, I took your thought to the range. THE SIMPLICITY and tempo was very helpful.
I was wondering if you have similar thoughts to simplify my putting. Stroke,I’m really struggling with it

Interesting

Have always finalized gripped after I have seen the shot from behind and stepped into my position with feet together, placing hands on grip and then stepping out to full stance. I think I just learned something new. Will give it a try.

Thanks Ben. A very simple way to get a square club face at set up I will give this a try as at times the square club face at set up is sometimes difficult.

Thanks, Ben. I noticed watching Adam Scott play that he does something very similar, placing his grip with his left hand only as he holds the club out to his left side. Have to give this a try. Thanks!
