I'm flying into LaGuardia this Thursday. Looks like it will be early enough to get a round of golf in that afternoon. I was thinking of driving to Bethpage. I'm not expecting to be able to get onto Black. Which of the other courses there would one recommend - or not?

  2. Hi Don. I've played them all. Each a masterpiece in its own right. Yellow is easiest then green. Blue is a great test and beautiful. Red will demand your full attention and Black is just magnificent. It's no wonder the tour loves this place so much. The entire facility is pure genius. Fairways a must. Have a great round. Safe travel

Bethpage Blue is a good test of your golfing ability without getting frustrated with playing Bethpage Black (if you are not playing well)! Enjoy playing Bethpage.

There is a tournament on The Black this entire week so you will definitely not be able to play it. I played the Red today and it is in excellent shape. If you are a good golfer I would definitely recommend the Red as the next best to the Black. Followed by the Green, Blue then Yellow. The earlier you get there the better, but it’s usually pretty open in the afternoons on weekdays. Pack some extra balls as the fescue makes it difficult to find your ball if you end up in it. Have fun and enjoy your day. Bethpage is an amazing place.

Thank you both. After Black, I had no idea how the others compared
