Hi Guys, I am thinking about getting my daughter fitted for a new set of clubs. Just wondering if anybody has done this for their daughter and was there much improvement with their game?

    Hi Karl,
I don't think Titleist specially do anything that would fit a child in terms of shaft and head options. My son has a 915 driver with a cut down shaft my for now we have gone for the p*ng childs irons until he is a bit bigger and can use my old AP1s

    Karl,

Catch up on Mark Crossfield's YouTube channel. He had a Titleist set fitted for his daughter. It was interesting to see that he went AP2 rather than AP1 as he preferred the more traditional lofts.

A fitting is better than no fitting you just have to be aware they may grow out of them quicker than you'd like.

He takes questions on Twitter and I'm sure he'll be happy to advise. @4golfonline

    Hi Karl,
    Sure there is my friend.
Because I know for a fact Titleist puts a lot of effort in junior golf.

And yes they even can specify shaft & grip options. Usually what I tent to see is women shafts & smaller grips.

But please make sure you get fit to a professional club fitter. They can help you in getting the right tools for the job.

    For US: www.titleist.com/.../youth-golfer
For UK: Contact Titleist Europe on Twitter for locations in the UK.

Again get fitted by a professional who has the experience to fit junior golfers.

Free tip of the month: Cutting down shafts makes the shaft stiffer and no proper working tool for juniors.
Try fitting into women graphite shafts with smaller grips.
I've forwarded just to my friend Jeff he is tour rep on the PGA Tour. He also shared my experience and he would like to add: Please make sure it's better to play in the beginning with a normal women shaft. So she can still grow into the clubs. If you custom shaft it to as her needs now. In the next 1-2 years you have the same issue.

Again women standard shaft with junior / small women grip on it is the job to do. Also supported by Jeff my friend on the tour truck. PGA Tour.

    Happy swings,

    Bart
