KIM ON HIS PRO V1x

  • Gaming his Pro V1x golf ball, Tom Kim led the field with 27 birdies (in addition to one eagle), while topping a leader board that featured 15 Titleist golf ball players in the top 19 positions.
  • “I’ve been using [Pro V1x] for my whole life. For me, when I hit a shot, and it comes in the window that I see it… just that consistency of seeing that window every time, where a lot of [competitive] golf balls, sometimes you might hit a shot, and it might go a little far, it might go a little short. With Titleist being the best ball, number one in golf, it shows you that consistency.”
  • “(With Pro V1x) I feel like I can get a little bit more height with it. I can control the spin a little bit more with my irons and with the driver, going from low flight to high flight.”
  • “I think the big thing is obviously the window, but for me also, it's the sound off of the club head and the feel. I’m a little sensitive with a little bit of sound, and I feel like it determines almost the shot that I hit because I have to be used to the sound of when it makes impact. I want to hear that ball coming off the face. But once I hear good sound, good feel, and I see my window, I’m all set to go.”

KIM ON HIS TSR3 DRIVER

  • No one hit more fairways on Sunday at TPC Summerlin than Tom Kim.
  • On the 18th hole, Kim pulled his TSR3 9.0° driver and sent his Pro V1x 318 yards down the middle of the fairway to help close out the victory.
  • Kim hit 12 of 14 fairways (86%, T1) in Round 4.
  • He ranks seventh this season on TOUR in Driving Accuracy (67.5%).
  • “I had been playing the TSi3 for the longest time and I thought I wasn’t going to change it, but after trying it at TPI (in the summer of 2022), it was just so good that I had to put it in the bag, and it’s been working out really well,” Kim said. “My percentage in the fairway has gone up and, yeah, it’s a keeper. Missed hits, solid hits, it just stays in the wind so well for me, that’s what I’ve had trouble with before and I thought I was going to use the ‘i’ for the rest of the season, but I put it right in the bag because I gained ball speed, gained swing speed, smash factor went up and holds it really well into the wind. So it was great.”

KIM’S MOVE TO NEW T-SERIES IRONS

  • Gaming his NEW T100 4-9 irons as well as a NEW T200 3 iron (utility build), Tom Kim gained over seven shots (+7.406) on his approach shots this week at TPC Summerlin.
  • He ranks 10th in SG: Approach for the 2022-23 season, averaging +0.656 per round.
  • Kim moved into his NEW T-Series models ahead of the 2023 U.S. Open at the Los Angeles Country Club and earned his best career major championship finish to date that week (T8).
  • One month later at Royal Liverpool, Kim bettered that result by finishing T2.
  • “The feel was just so much better,” said Kim on his first impressions of the new models. “And to be honest, I’ve gone through three sets of T100s, and every time I hit the new ones, I kind of question, ‘Man, can it get any better?’ And for some reason it does.”
  • Kim on the NEW T200 utilities: “The sound just completely changed, especially, not when you hit it good, but the mishits, the sound was really similar to the solid ones.”

KIM ROLLING WITH SCOTTY CAMERON PUTTER

  • Kim had it rolling this week in Vegas, gaining over five strokes on the field (+5.740, 4th) with his Scotty Cameron TourType Timeless GSS tour prototype.
  • He also ranked T6 in putts per GIR (1.63).
  • “I play a GSS TT (TourType) blade,” Kim said this week via PGA TOUR social channels. “I have a dot on the top and a line on the bottom. I’ve played this putter for more than a year now. I think my first week with this putter was at the Presidents Cup last year, worked pretty well so it’s been in the bag for a long time, and it doesn’t plan to leave any time soon.”

LPGA Tour | Buick LPGA Shanghai

Angel Yin rolled in her Pro V1 for birdie on the first hole of a sudden-death playoff to win her first LPGA title.

  • Yin posted rounds of 65-70 over the weekend to reach 14 under for the tournament, matching the clubhouse lead posted by world No. 1 Lilia Vu (Pro V1x).
  • Yin and Vu, who had previously faced one another in a playoff at the Chevron Championship in April, both hit the fairway and green in regulation on the first extra hole before Yin converted her winning birdie.
  • Yin was in complete control of her Pro V1 this week, hitting 41 of 56 fairways (73%) and 62 of 72 greens in regulation (86%).

DP WORLD TOUR | acciona Open de España

Matthieu Pavon (Pro V1) shot rounds of 63-68-66-64 to earn his first career DP World Tour title in wire-to-wire fashion.

  • Pavon, 31, made seven Sunday birdies to separate from the chasing pack and post 23 under, giving him a four-shot margin of victory.
  • The Frenchman gained nearly two shots on the field tee-to-green (+1.96) and ranked first in Strokes Gained: Around the Green (+1.34).

PAVON ON HIS PRO V1

  • “I have played Titleist since I was very young, it has always been my favorite golf ball brand. I currently play with the Pro V1 model as it is best suited for my game, generating the right amount of spin with the driver, which allows for a strong, penetrating ball flight in the wind and overall great control. I also like it because it has a soft feel when chipping around the greens, so it is a ball that really does do it all.”

KPGA | Genesis Championship

Titleist Brand Ambassador Sanghyun Park emerged victorious from a sudden-death playoff, draining an eagle putt on the second extra hole for the win.

  • Park, gaming his Pro V1 golf ball and TSR3 driver among his all-Titleist setup, posted 17 under for the week, which was matched by fellow Brand Ambassador Sungjae Im
  • Park’s victory – the 12th of his career – earns him an exemption into the 2024 Genesis Scottish Open at Renaissance Club.
  • Titleist was the #1 ball and most played driveriron and wedge for the week, and Titleist golf ball players made up seven of the top 11 positions on Sunday’s final leader board.
