Monday September 9th 2012, a chilly rainy monday evening in Jackson, Michigan everyone in my golf league was in survival mode. Being the only female in a mens league is tough enough, but with conditions such as those it was exceptoinally difficult. After struggling my way through the end of my match I stepped up to the 9th tee; a lengthy and daunting uphill par 3. Due to the conditions it played even longer. So i reached for the most reliable club in my bag (4 iron). Just trying to make par I put a smooth swing on the ball. The flight of my Titleist NXT was stoic in the way it eased through the air. One hop short of the green and then out of sight it went. Being the green is blind we werent going to know until we climed the hill. Approaching the green we see a ball left of the pin. (My partners) and nothing else. I then proceed to hang my head thinking my ball is long. I fumble around in my bag for a wedge and a putter and start across the green. After a quick glance i notice a shiny object nestled safely in the bottom of the cup. Im thinking there is no way, could I do that? What do I do? In complete and utter shock I run around yelling. and will continue to do so for rounds to come! Thank you TITLEIST for my first hole in one!
