24 Years In The Making
By William M On 19 April 2015
I made my first hole in one May 11, 1990. Although I had some other close calls, I didn't expect that I would ever do it again. On May 26, 2014 I was playing a round at Wesselman Park Golf Course in Evansville, Indiana. I was hitting almost all the greens in regulation but couldn't get a birdie putt to drop. When I reached #15 I hit a sand wedge at the 95 yard hole. It landed about 3 feet from the hole and rolled like a putt to what I thought was just in front of the hole. The wind was blowing directly in my face, and when I reached the green I found the ball wedged between the flag stick and the cup liner. I parred in and had the oddest scorecard ever - 17 pars and a hole in one.
