A good bounce

I got to the course and I decided that I wanted to walk that day, even though the temperature was well over 100. I warmed up quickly and then hit the first tee. Just like I always do I hit a small fade off the first tee at the far bunker. I then hit a pitching wedge to the front portion of the green and 2 putted for a comfortable opening par. I was particularly happy with that because I had made solid contact on both shots and I had been struggling with my ball contact recently. As the round went on I kept working on things and saw some improvement. I made a couple mistakes with my position but nothing major. After parring the 7th I stepped to the 8th tee. The hole location was in the back left portion of the green. The odd thing about the green is that a spine protrudes through the green from a bunker in that left corner. The hole location was 4 steps beyond and 5 steps left of the spine. It is an incredibly difficult location to get close to since everything runs hard from left to right all the way to the far side of the green. I hit the 6 iron and I got what felt about a half of a groove low. I hit the perfect shot shape that I wanted, a little 5 4 yard draw off the flag. When the ball landed I notice that it hopped slight;y to the right and forward off of the spine. my heart skipped a little after the hop. I grabbed my range finder to look for the ball, but I couldn't see it. The spine also hindered my sight of the hole. I slung my bag around ad walk/ran up to the green. I got up to the and walked to the green and over to the hole. There I noticed the amazingness of my Titleist 7 staring up at me. I jumped up and shouted in celebration! It was my first hole-in-one and I couldnt have imagined it a better way.
