A windy chilly day in Iowa

It was a chilly and windy May 1st in Iowa but we played golf anyway. We had made reservations several days in advance and after driving 30 miles to get to the course we didn't want to cancel. After getting out on the course it didn't seem as bad as it was just standing around thinking about it. Hole number seven measures 161 yards from the middle tees and has water in front of the green and up the left side. After watching the other three in my foresome hit their balls in the water I was determined not to do the same. I went for an extra club to make sure I was over the water and with the weather conditions I should have used an extra club anyway. The pin was to the back of the green and in the center. I hit a high ball about three or four yards to the right of the green with a slight draw. The ball hit the green and probably would have stopped about where it landed except the green was sloped towards the center where the pin was located. The ball started rolling slowly towards the pin and right in the cup for my third hole in one in thirty one years.
