Number 99
By GSisson On 7 August 2019
On August 6th, in Ojai, California, I was playing in league play. (Sundowners is a 9 hole league that’s been going on for 30 years. The format is a Stableford style competition). Our group arrived at the Par-3 16th and took aim. Normally I always hit a 7-iron cut into this green no matter what but a member in the group shot it with his range finder and the number SCREAMED 8i. I stepped up at after waiting an eternity for the 5some in front of us to get off the green. Hit my normal cut and my immediate reaction was that it was short, the pin was just off the front left trap, bounced once on the left side and rolled in for my first hole-in-one. My life as of late has been a real struggle, and this gave me a real optimism for all aspects of my life. I really hope that this is a catalyst for all things going forward. Golf has the incredible ability to bring immense joy coupled with real aggravation and pain. I was using a Pro V1 number 99 and I’ll only hit that ball from now on. Thank you, Titleist, I will be brand loyal for the rest of my life ( as a New Englander I have always been TEAM TITLEIST).
