My wife and I were playing in our first couples event at TPC San Antonio and I was able to log each of us a one on the par three 4th hole on the TPC Canyons; it was a shamble where everyone hit a drive and then you played a two-ball from the best. After we all logged a one on the par three, my wife reminded that it would have been my father's 97th birthday were he still alive. My Dad taught me the game and I was sure he was looking down on me that day and especially that 8-iron on the 138 yd hole. My only other hole-in-one came in 1979 in Baytown, TX while playing a practice round with my Dad for a Member-Guest tournament. It was an 8-iron too.
