Ardglass GC Ace
By Andrew B On 12 August 2016
2nd August 2016, a beautiful day at Ardglass GC Co Down Northern Ireland, with a force 3 gale blowing in from the Irish Sea. After quite a ropey start,I stood on the 5th tee looking ominously at the shortest par 5 I've ever had the pleasure of playing. 135 yds of links, 3 bunkers and a lightning fast green are all that stood in my way. Playing with my father I naturally let him hit first (his honour), I then proceeded to gauge the wind, place my Prov1x on the tee and unleash what can only be described as the purest strike I've ever hit. You know that one that you can barely feel the ball strike, and have to check to see if you actually hit it at all! Upon realising the ball was nowhere to be seen, I looked up to see what can only be described as miraculous as the ball held its course in the wind (testament to how well I hit it) and landed around 6 feet short of the hole and on in next bounce nestled neatly in the cup!!! Crazy screaming and shouting ensued along with general disbelief and hyperventilation. First Ace never forgotten. Thanks Team Titleist Andrew Bryce
