Best Par Ever

My name is Matt Holmes and I'm 16. Last week, I was playing at my home course in East Granby, CT. On the 9th hole, I took out my Titleist NXT and BOMBED my tee-shot, however, it ended up in the second cut of rough. Not recognizing me as I walked up the fairway, the landscaper accidentally mowed over my ball, leaving it severed on three sides. My goal was to finish the round with the same ball, so I drew out my 7-Iron to punch the ball out from behind a near tree. Fortunately, my club picked the ball cleanly out of the rough, and my second shot wobbled its way up to the green about 10 feet from the pin. As I approached the green, I knew I had to hammer my birdie putt, since my ball now resembled an awkward-looking cube. I took out my putter and briskly struck the ball towards the hole. Surprisingly, it traveled in a straight line, and bounced off the back lip, leaving me with a 2-inch par putt. As I tapped the ball in, I wondered if anyone had ever achieved such a feat with half of a ball! Not a Hole-In-One, but a very interesting story!
