Best vacation event ever!

Five years ago, my wife and I decided to pick up golf as a sport we could play together. Even though we were AARP age, we decided to give it a try. On July 26, as we have been doing for the past five annual vacations, my wife and I headed off to Jamestown Golf Course, just across the bridge from Newport RI. My iron play has improved considerably this year, and I’ve been hitting the greens from within 125 yards. On the 114 yard par 3 fifth, I remembered the green sloped right to left, and the pin was in the center of the green that day. My plan was to use my 7-iron, hit the edge of the green and let it roll up close to the hole and have chance at a birdie or par. I executed my plan flawlessly, hit the edge of the green, ball rolled 20 feet and then broke slightly left and into the hole. What a feeling! My best vacation event ever! Priceless!
