Last year a good friend and I took a trip to Whistling Straits for a weekend of great golf. During the second day of our trip we played The Straits course. Unfortunately I was not playing very well at all and almost called it quits after 9 holes. However, my friend and our caddy convinced me to continue on and at least enjoy the great weather regardless of my poor play.
After my continued poor play on number 10 and 11 we approached the 12th tee. While waiting on the 12th tee for the group ahead of us to putt out my friend asked me if I had ever played a ProV1 ball before. I laughed and asked him if he had been watching me play the first 11 holes. I said, “Do you really think the ball is going to make a difference!” He tossed one to me and said “give it a try, it can’t hurt”.
So I teed one up and proceeded to hit a pitching wedge over the flag by about 5 yards. It hit and spun back and slowly feed down to the cup dropping in for my first ever hole-in-one.
After some celebration and shock I proceeded to par 5 of the last 6 holes.
I’ve never looked back and have played only a ProV1 since. I am a believer!!
Sincerely,
