Denny Bender gets first Ace

It had been a tough day on a tough course, Chippewa Golf Club in Doyalstown, Ohio. We were on the 17th. Tee, a par 3 playing at just under 170 yards. I had l just lost my ball in a pond on the previous hole part of (their version of Amen Corner). I had no more new balls that I usually play, so I pulled one out of my bag that I found at some point during play, and it was a Titleist ProV1X. I remembered thinking that I had hit ProV1's before, but never a ProV1X, and I always wanted to. Also, that I would have to line it with a marker for putting once I was on the green. Guess what? I never had to pull out the marker. I teed it up low, choked down a M3 Hybrid, and put a smooth cut swing on it. A nice baby cut with a 2 hop landing, and a tracking roll right to the cup. Next thing I remember was hearing a faint clank on the the flagstick, and people yelling that it went in. I stopped at my local golf store on the way home, and bought my first dozen ProV1X balls. PS: My collection is growing as I also use Vokey wedges, and a Cameron putter.

Thank you Titleist,

Sincerely,

Denny Bender
